Peacefully at Chelsey Park Long Term Care, London on Thursday, June 23, 2016, Helen (Lovell) Payne in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Archie Payne (1988). Loving mother of Ken Payne (Sandy) and Joyce Payne (Reverend Michelle Down). Predeceased by her daughter Shirley (2014). Cherished grandma of Tammy, Scott, Cindy, Christine and by her 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ruth Horton and Jean Poole. Predeceased by her sister Marjorie Lovell (2001). The family would like to thank Dr. Crabbe and the staff on the 4th floor of Chelsey Park for their exceptional and loving care. With saddened hearts; the Clarke and Dennis families announce the passing of David Clarke on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the age of 65. David has been placed into the loving arms of his Jesus. Beloved husband of the late Arlene Clarke (2015) for 39 years and father to Paul and Dennis. Much loved son of Evelyn and the late John Clarke (2010). Dear brother of Cheryl (Dan), Juju (Peter), Susan, Debbie (Terry), the late Ron (2014) (Stephanie) and Bruce (Sue) and their families all of Windsor. David will be missed by his mother-in-law Marilyn and the late Mack Dennis (2015) and brother-in-law to Terry (Bonnie) and their family of Watford. Jackie passed away peacefully with family at her side, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Victoria Hospital, in her 87th year. Born in Dumbarton, NB. Beloved wife of the late Guy R. MacLeod (1997). Loving mother of Marilyn (Ken) Pedder, Pauline Brock , Teresa MacLeod (Michael Rhodes) of Coquitlam, BC, Roger MacLeod, Richard (Patti) MacLeod, Randy (Debbie) MacLeod, and Karen MacLeod. Dear Gramma of Jason Pedder, Joshua, Lindsay (Simon) Clayton and Adam (Jenn) Brock, Jacqueline Rhodes, Caitlin Rhodes (Kyle McVey), and Elizabeth and Phillip MacLeod. Great Gramma of Logan and Mackenzie. Also survived by extended family in Ontario and in New Brunswick. Predeceased by her parents John and Berla Logan, sister Audrey Currie, brother Glen Logan and son-in-law Mike Brock. Peacefully at University Hospital, London on June 14, 2016, Jack Pollock of London in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Liz” (Kirkpatrick) Pollock. Dear father of Julie (Nicholson) Pollock of London; John Pollock and his wife Catherine of Trumbull, Connecticut; Gary Pollock and his wife Shawn of Craighurst, ON. Loved and cherished grandfather and great grandfather of Kasia and her husband Cam and their children Ewan and Emery; Nathaniel and his wife Margo and their children Rilla, Lachlan and Alexander; Michael and his wife Kristen and their children Adelaide and soon to be born son; Kacey and her husband Jake; Bryanna, Jordan and Patty and their children Annika and soon to be born daughter; Chris Pollock and Katie Pollock. Dear brother of Robert A. Pollock of Barrie; Edward “Ted” Pollock and his wife Jean of Bobcaygeon and Mary Ellen Crowe of Grayslake, Illinois. Predeceased by daughter Cathy Olejnik; sister Muriel “Lola” Wilson; sisters-in-law, Jean Pollock and Doreen Pollock, brothers-in-law, Art Jackson, Ross Wilson and Murray Crowe. Jack will be missed by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Also loved and missed by Melanie Williams. Jack served his country as a Field Artillery Officer, 2nd division, in WWII through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He served the Province of Ontario as volunteer Chairman of Blood Procurement for the Red Cross of Ontario and was awarded the Queen’s 25th Anniversary medal for his efforts. Along with 4 or 5 of his neighbours, the group started a Sunday school in one of their recreation rooms. Soon after, the group was holding services in Riverside Public school. On March 5, 1957 Jack wrote a letter of invitation to all residents of Oakridge Acres to join the group, which led him to being a founding member of Riverside United Church. He was also involved in the formation of the Kiwanis Club of Thames Valley. He will be remembered for his love of carving in bass wood, Canadian wildlife, starting after his retirement, continuing until 2015. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his dogs Eddie and Woodrow. Peacefully in his sleep at Parkwood Hospital, on Thursday, June 9, 2016, George T. Samworth in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret A. (Boa) Samworth (2014). Loving father of Susan Foster (Donald Noble) of Thamesford, Peggy Samworth (Dan Rammage) of Brunner, Nelson Samworth (Susan) of Bayfield and Tom Samworth (Angie Rice) of Orangeville. Proud grandfather to all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Kaye Tucker (the late George) and Jean Fontaine (Maurice). Also missed by his nieces and nephews. George was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Byron – Springbank Branch No. 533. He was a proud Legion member for 70 years. Peacefully in her 80th year at University Hospital, London, on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 with her family at her side, Elva was taken into the arms of her Lord. This followed a prolonged journey with Alzheimer’s Disease and more recently with Acute Leukemia. Elva was a dedicated member of Byron United Church as a follower of Jesus Christ. She was a nurse, member of the Sunningdale Golf Club, accomplished quilter, lover of music and a most devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and friend to many. Survived by her husband Dr. Robert, her children and grandchildren Kelly and Kevin Buckley (Kelsie, Kira, Kayla) of Elmira, ON; Robert A. and Debra (Jasmine, Alex, Spencer) of London, ON; Stephen and Nicole (Lily, Simon, Charlotte, Zachary) of Toronto, ON. Elva was blessed with a large family and is survived by Charles Corbett (the late Elizabeth) of Exeter, ON; Marguerite McRoberts (the late Ross) of Lucan, ON; Don and Lenore Young of Waterloo, ON; Doris Hodgins (the late Don) of Lucan, ON; James and Florence Young of Strathroy, ON; Jack and Sandra Young of Gravenhurst, ON; and, by Elizabeth Coates (the late Ken) and Merv Hicks of Wellington-on-the-Lake, ON; Don and Lois Coates of Forest, ON; Paul and Therese Coates of London, ON; and sister-in-law Gay Coates of Ancaster, ON; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Margaret Carnegy passed away peacefully, in her 96th year, on Friday, June 3, 2016, at Grand Wood Park Retirement Residence, London, surrounded by family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bob) Carnegy and loving mother of Patricia Carnegy of Etobicoke. Remembered by sister-in-law Jackie Carnegy of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Stanley Scott and Jane Carnegy of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. Also loved by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Edward and Nettie Newhouse of Rodney, Ontario. Marg was a faithful and loyal friend to many, an avid bridge player and always charitable to others and animals. Passed peacefully at the Village of Glendale Crossing Nursing Home, on June 2, 2016 at the age of 85. She is survived by 5 daughters, Jen (Ted) Lutz, Candy (Jim) Haycock, Brenda Ludlow, Wendy Smith (Ray), Nanci Moyer, their father Bob Moyer, brother Ken, sister Wynne, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Iris, also a grandson and son-in-law. There will be no visitation or service at mom’s request. Mom’s body has been donated to the Department of Anatomy & Cell Biology at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at The University of Western Ontario, as per her wishes.
