Macpherson, Catherine….
Peacefully at Henley Place Long Term Care Residence, Catherine Macpherson, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late John Finlay Macpherson. Although a long time resident of London, ON, Catherine never lost her love for Scotland or pride in all things Scottish. She will now go home to rest by her husband’s side in Eaglesham Cemetery, Scotland. There will be no visitation or funeral service in Canada. Arrangements entrusted to A. DONALDSON, Radford… Peacefully at University Hospital, on Friday, May 27, 2016, Radford Donaldson passed away in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of the late June Donaldson. Dear father of Jack Donaldson (Sandra), Jim Donaldson (Susan) and Robert Donaldson (Lynda). Proud grandpa of Jim Donaldson, Amy and Matthew Donaldson, Angela and Kelly Donaldson. Papa-great of Conner and Savannah Donaldson, Piper and Georgia Jeffery. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. Dear father of Robert A. Sterne and Christopher J. Sterne and wife Cynthia. Also loved by his grandchildren Carly and Jonathon Sterne. Dear brother of Gary W. Sterne and his late wife Dianne. Charles was an active member of The Elgin County Railway Museum in St. Thomas, for over 20 years. Surrounded by family & friends Ron Gorrie at the age of 83 passed at University Hospital, London on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Beloved husband of Della J. Gorrie for 58 years. Cherished father of Susan Gorrie (Dave Near) of St. Marys, Douglas (Char) Gorrie of Harrington and Darren Gorrie (Linda Mallet) of London. Proud grandfather of Tyler (Amy) Gorrie, Jonathan Gorrie, Christen (Kyle) Graham, Mathew Gorrie, Rob Gorrie and great-grandfather to Madison, Kacey, Kyla, Tyler and Eli. Dear brother of Barbara Shepherd, Margot (Bill) Hickling and their families. Predeceased by his parents Donald and Marjorie Gorrie , brother-in-law Dale Shepherd and nephew Mark Shepherd. Ron worked almost 50 years as an Insurance Claims Adjuster, Auditor and Trainer. He loved teaching, working, photography and spending time with family and friends. Ron will be dearly missed by his family and many friends and remembered for his great spontaneous sense of humor. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the compassionate, caring doctors and nurses from A4 and A10 Palliative Unit at University Hospital. They made it possible for us to get through the extremely difficult week that we have experienced by treating Ron with admirable respect and dignity. In keeping with Ron’s wishes cremation has taken place. Cherished mother of Heather (John) Paas of Strathroy and step-mother to Eric (Pat) of BC and Ted (Bonnie) of London. Proud grandmother to Kyle, Krystal, Kristian, Scott, Stephanie, Darrell, Joshua (Maaike), Luke (Miranda) and great-grandmother to Ella and Henry. Dear sister of Margaret (Harold) Gibbons of Winnipeg, Jean (Robert) Sandercott of Grand Bend, Ina Flanders of Clinton and George (Carol) of St. Thomas. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Pat Findlay and Jean Andress and brother-in-law Norman (Donna).
