In the comfort of her home, after a courageous battle with cancer, Anne (Demooy) of London in her 71st year. Beloved wife of Ron Griffin. Cherished mother of Lisa Kenney (Bruce), John LeBlanc all of Cambridge and Joe LeBlanc of Welland. Proud grandmother of Ryan, Fallon, Kiara, Jacob and Andrew. Dear sister of Casey Demooy (Nancy) of London, Peter Demooy (Carolyn) of Delta, BC and Louise Thompson (Jim) of London. Also survived by her brother-in-law Casey Does. Predeceased by her parents Johanus and Cornelia Demooy and her sister Audrey Does. She will lovingly be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Anne had a love for travel with her husband Ron, a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh. A special thank you to the VON Palliative Care Team for their professionalism and compassion during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (10-11am) on October 14, 2015 at the A. With family by her side at Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, October 5, 2015, Reverend Gwen (Mills) Fraser of London in her 74th year. Beloved wife of George Fraser of 51 years. Loving mother of Rob Fraser and his wife Jo, Sue Martins and her husband Mike and Dave Fraser. Cherished Nanna of Alex, Jamie, Abby, Fraser and Megan. Dear sister-in-law of Judy Mills. Predeceased by her brother Tom Mills. Missed by nieces; Louise and Aimee and their families. After a lengthy career in teaching, Gwen devoted the latter years of her life serving the Lord as The Reverend Gwen Fraser – Deacon at St. George’s Anglican Church, dedicating her time to numerous community outreach programs. Friends will be received by the family from 3-5pm and 7-9pm on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Loving grandma of Wade, Chad and the late Jason and 3 great-grandchildren. Dearly missed by nieces, nephew and their families. Predeceased by her brothers Bill and George Smith and her sister Doris McGinnis. Passed peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London, on October 2, 2015. Earl was in his 90th year. Proud father to three boys Steve (predeceased in 2008) and his wife Anita, Mark and wife Janice and Brad and late wife Lori (predeceased in 2004). Earl was admired by his Grandchildren Brandon and wife Nina Rudd, Georgia Rudd and Noah Rudd from New Zealand. Earlier this year, Earl became a Great-grandfather for the first time with the arrival of baby Avery. Family would like to thank the staff at Parkwood Hospital for their ongoing care over the past 3 years. Earl was very proud to have been associated with the Shriners and enjoyed traveling as part of the Jeepster brigade. Thanks to all the special people at Parkwood Institute for providing the comfort and happiness that Earl enjoyed. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A Masonic Service under auspices of King Solomon’s Lodge No. 378 A.F. & A.M. will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:30pm. Cherished Papa of Jessica, Megan, Lisa, Josh, Jordan, Jason, Jacob and Jennifer and great-grandfather of Alex. Dear brother of Roy Johnston (and the late Joann). BOUMA, Phillip….. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Phillip Bouma of London, at home on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the age of 33 . Dearly missed by his parents Roza Hessel and the late Dirk Bouma (2001) and his wonderful companion Cuddles. Much loved nephew to Sherry (Doug) Black, Gerry (Judy) Hessel, Anna Hessel, Roy (Diane) Hessel, Monica (Dale) Brush, Ben Hessel all of London area and Akke Wheatley of Kentucky. Predeceased by his grandparents, John and Dorothy Bouma, Hank and Jantina Hessel and his uncles Harry Hessel (Wendy) and Peiter Hessel (Karen). Phillip will be remembered by many cousins and friends. Cherished mother of Judith Hamilton and Major Beverly Hamilton (ret.). Loving grandma of Julia and Emilie. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer and served in various appointments in Ontario and Quebec. Bessie and Melvin were married in 1953 and ministered together in Manitoba and Ontario.
