SZANYI, Ruby……
Peacefully surrounded by loving family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Monday, March 7, 2016, Ruby (nee DesRoches) Szanyi, in her 76th year. Loving mother of Sheila Densham (Jonathan), Lewis Szanyi Jr., Joseph Szanyi (Cathy), Richard Szanyi (Sherry), Elizabeth Cooke (Lawrence). Proud Grandmother of Shannon (Gord), Derek, Will, Telsi, Nicole, Sydney and Shawn. Step-Grandmother of Daniel (Amanda) and Robin (Kevin). Forever remembered by sisters Elsie Caverley (Larry), Helen Bowman (the late Mike), Linda Winchester, and Sheila Arsenault (Marcel). Predeceased by her brother Arthur and her granddaughter Anna. Special thanks to the ER Nursing staff at SMGH. At Ruby’s request, a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Francis-St. Martin Catholic Parish, 46 Cathcart Street, London ON N6C 3L7. Private interment Mount Brydges, Ontario. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Francis-St. Martin Catholic Parish. A. My deepest condolences to the Szanyi family. My beautiful sister was one of a kind. Her love emanated for anyone and everyone she met. She was so proud of all her children and grandchildren. Her beautiful soul touched so many lives. I have been blessed to have her as my sister. Her message of God’s love shone brightly within and threw her. I’m proud to say she will always be with us in spirit. Until we meet again.

I grew up with Ruby in PEI. she was a wonderful happy person always a smile for everyone. It has been years since we last seen another and perhaps we will meet again some day.
