TRICKETT, Mike…. Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, Michael Trickett passed away in his 74th year. Beloved husband of the late Karen (Welsh) Trickett. Proud father of Melissa (Stephen) Gillson, Christine Trickett and Marcie (Steve) Hough. Cherished grandpa of 6 and great grandpa of 4. Missed by his brother David (Sharon) Trickett and brother-in-law Ross Horton. Survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his brother Tom Trickett and sister-in-law Debbie Horton. Mike was a London Transit Bus driver for over 40 years. Friends will be received on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 1-4 pm at A. McGUIRE, Elmer…
Elmer Russell McGuire in his 65th year passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, August 1st, 2016. Loving partner and best friend of Catherine Lawson. Special and supportive dad to David of Newmarket. Loving brother to Larry, Lee (Maxene) and Bryan (Angie); brother-in-law to John (Elizabeth), David (Rebecca), Brian (Val), Jane (Dan) and Susan (Rob). Proud uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Will be greatly missed by his much loved four legged companion “Maddie Dog”. Predeceased by his parents, Russell (2016) Jean (2010) and his in-laws Ken (2000) and Barb (2007). Elmer served as a Toronto Police Officer from 1970-1987. He then went on to manage two successful businesses, Bryan’s Auto Centre with his brother Bryan and McGuire Management Systems until his retirement in 2015. El enjoyed simple pleasures … hosting dinner parties for his family and friends, a feast of Chinese food, a good game of Quiddler (as long as he won), cherry cheese cake, peanut butter cookies, an ice cold beer or drambuie. An avid golfer, Elmer and Cathy belong to the Echo Valley Golf Club where over many years they have shared countless rounds of golf… Elmer from the “appropriate” tees! But most importantly they have been blessed with lifelong friendships… Thank you Echo Valley and most recently Heritage Pines Florida friends. GASKIN, Paul Mitchell ……

Peacefully at Parkwood Institute, London, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, Paul Mitchell Gaskin in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Simpson) Gaskin. Loving father of Nora Gaskin, and Anne (Greig) Cooke, and beloved grandfather of Leigh Anne and Paul. Dear brother of John (Dorothy) Gaskin, Dr. Robert (Connie) Gaskin. and Frances Wade. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Walls, brother Eric Gaskin and his wife Alice, brother Cyrus Gaskin and his wife Phyllis, and brother-in-law Harry Wade. Also missed by his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Born in Moncton N.B., Paul served for four years, during WWII, in the Royal Canadian Navy, on the Corvette Buctouche, doing escort duty in the North Atlantic. He had a lengthy career with the Royal Bank of Canada in Montreal. He was active in service to the United Church in both Montreal and London. The family would like to thank the staff of 2 Perth at Parkwood for their dedicated, compassionate and respectful care of Paul during this past year. Peacefully at University Hospital, London, Yvonne (Weston) Clarke died, in her 91st year on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Yvonne was a secondary school teacher who spent most of her career at Wheable Secondary School. She would be known best for her quick wit and her deep interest in her grandchildren’s lives and activities. Beloved wife of the late George Clarke (2005). Cherished mother of Jim Clarke (Donna Jean), Dan Clarke (Wilma), Rob Clarke (Karin) all of London, Pamela Misener (Bill) of Burlington and Karen Clarke. Proud grandmother of Aaron, Spencer Clarke, Andrea (Jarret) Peterson, Matthew Clarke (Sarah Walker), Stephanie Clarke (Tom Masterson), Brittany, Michael, Sean and Emily Clarke, Samantha, Nicole, Robyn Misener and Kaitlyn McIlwain. Dear sister of Merle Burnett of Windsor. Predeceased by her sisters Elaine Sheriff, Hariette Squires, Phyllis Weston and brother-in-law Cliff Burnett. Cremation has taken place. KEARNS, Beverly “Bev”….

Beverly (Rhodes) “Bev” Kearns 79, of London, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Victoria Hospital, London. Bev was a loving and caring wife who was married for over 55 years to the late R.W. Bill Kearns. She was extremely proud of her four children, Bill Jr. (Andree) of Ottawa, Neil and his wife Gwen of Whistler, Lauria and her husband Ryan and Robert of London. Loving and adoring grandmother to Breanne, Riley and Krista and aunt to several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister-in-law Velma Rhodes and brother-in-law R.F. Kearns. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Anne Rhodes, brothers Evan “Van” and Harry “Sonny” and step-sister Pauline (Don) Kaufman. Bev was born and raised in Stratford ON., and spent most of her life in London. Bev enjoyed summers at her cottage in Inverhuron. Bev’s career was with the Catholic Diocese of London until she retired. She was known for her voice in the choir and loved to play piano. She will be remembered as a loyal and caring friend with a wonderful sense of humour. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. KING, Lori… After a lengthy battle, Lori King (nee Summers) passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 53 on Saturday, July 23, 2016. Beloved mother of Tiffany King. Daughter of Gloria Summers and the late Joe “Bubba” Summers. Sister of Michelle Krickovic (George), Wayne Wickens, Joe Summers (Karen Keating), Christine Lee (John), Jeremy Summers (Sarah Scott). Aunt of Shannon, Kara, Kayne, Andrew, Makenzie, Jessica, Victoria, David and Lily. Loved and missed by her special aunts Elizabeth Mancina, Patricia Bryant (Joe) and Jeannine Kirchoff (Mel) and many cousins, extended family and friends. Predeceased by her son Nicholas “Nick” King and her sister V. Roni Summers Wickens. She was a lover of the Toronto Blue Jays, especially Edwin Encarnacion, and the Detroit Red Wings. Lori graduated from Courtice Secondary School in 1981, and grew up in Hampton, Ontario. Lori was a resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, for almost a decade with her two children. She was very involved with her children’s schools, even substitute teaching at her son’s schools. She was a huge community helper and volunteered when she could. Lori enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with her family, and baking; her butter tart recipe was everyone’s favourite, and will be missed as much as Lori. She was the Queen of Tarts and her banana bread was a close second. Cremation has taken place. Jamieson: Robert (Bob) Winston…..
Peacefully with family at London Health Science Centre – University Hospital on Saturday, July 23, 2016, Bob Jamieson in his 76th year.  Deeply missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Sandy, cherished father of Martha (Dave) Lang and Lisa.  Proud “Pops” of Peter and Natalie.  Loving brother of Maurice (Eleanor) and Mary (John) Thornton.  Predeceased by his brother Keith, and his parents Roney and Helen Jamieson.  He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.  We will all miss his kindness, his compassion and his outrageous Sense of Humour.  After graduating from the Phys. Ed. program at Western in 1965 Bob began a long career of coaching, teaching and mentoring secondary school students.  He had a profound impact on many young people with his positive attitude, tremendous work ethic and sense of fair play.  Upon retirement Bob and Sandy travelled with different interest groups and as a couple always making new friends on their journeys.  Bob loved summers at Bruce Beach.  His stories and sharp wit kept people laughing at the tennis court, golf course and on the ball diamond.  He was a proud piper with the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band and was thrilled to accompany them to the Netherlands to celebrate the 70th anniversary celebration festivities.  Bob was lovingly cared for by the MSICU staff and the palliative care team, lead so compassionately by Dr. Koivu.  With their steadfast care he maintained his dignity and even a quiet mischievousness.  Cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 at 11:00am at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street, London.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00am.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Bob’s memory to London Health Science Foundation, Palliative Care at University Hospital, 339 Windermere Road, PO box 5229, Station A, LONDON ON  N6A 5A5, or Metropolitan United Church Foundation, 468  Wellington Street, LONDON ON   N6A 3P8.
