At Parkwood Hospital, London on Wednesday, June 23, 2004. Anna Marian (McMahen) Rankin of London in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late James Palmer Rankin. Dear mother of James Rankin of Thunder Bay and Adrian Hey and her husband Ross of Lambeth. Much loved grandmother of Stuart Rankin, Tara and Bryan Hey. Step-grandmother of Christina, Bryan, Adrienne and Carolyn Hey. Predeceased by her parents Archibald and Elflaeda McMahen. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to a service to celebrate Mrs. Rankins life, being held in the chapel of the A. SMITH:
Surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, Ted (Poppy) Smith, in his 90th year, passed away at University Hospital. Ted was received in Heaven by his sisters, Orla McBride and Eleanor Harang, both of Windsor and his first born child, Carolyn, wife of Donald Donohue, of Calgary. Ted is survived by his former wife, Margaret Smith and was a dear father to Beverly Maxwell and her husband Les of Vancouver, Virginia Golding of Vancouver, Christine Foerster of London, Ted Smith and his wife Kim of London, Elizabeth Deaville and her husband Brian of London and Debra Levesque and her husband Michael of Colfax, California. Also surviving Ted are his loving siblings. Elworth, Marvin and Marion, his many nieces and nephews and his eight grandchildren; Sean, Scott, Megan, Trevor, Jessica, Jeremy, Bridget and Jacob. Ted will also be sadly missed by his dear and devoted friend, Louise Chipchase of London. Ted was an active and faithful member of the London Kiwanis Club and made his living in the furnature industry. Ted took great pride in his career. During these years Ted developed a beautiful and lasting friendship with Ian McCrimmon of London. HUMPHREY — At London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, on Monday June 21st 2004, Ronald Henry Humphrey of London in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Percy) Humphrey. Dear father of Janet Humphrey and her husband Stephen Engelhardt of Alliston, Jill Humphrey and Ian Humphrey both of England. Dear brother of Dorothy Davies and her husband Ivor of England. Also loved by his four grandchildren Colleen, Allison, Dillon and Nikki; and fondly remembered by his sister-in-law April Chappell and family. Born in England, joined Royal Air Force Coastal Command as navigator and second pilot. Served with distinction from 1940 to 1946 in many theatres of war earning the Distinguished Flying Cross plus other decorations. Emigrated to Canada in 1956 which he enjoyed as his adopted home travelling many miles throughout North America. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday June 25th at 11 A.M. Cremation to follow. STEVENSON — on Friday June 11, 2004 at London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus. Noble Harvey Stevenson of London in his 81st year. Dear husband for 57 years and lifelong friend of Velma (nee Balson) Stevenson, dear father of John Stevenson and his wife Bev, Lynn MacKenzie and her husband Ken, and Paul Stevenson and his wife Lisa. Much loved grandfather of Luke (Amaria), Ellen, Heather, Katie, Steven, Patrick, Andrew, Tyler and Haley. Great-grandfather of Caleb. Noble was a life long educator in Burlington, Hamilton Teachers’ College and Althouse College of Education. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate Noble’s life will take place on Monday June 14 at 2:00 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Friends will be received by the family on Sunday from 2-4pm and again on Monday June 14, 2004 from 12 until 2pm. The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Jog, Drs.
