    On Sunday, June 26th, 2005 after a long illness, Anette (Munch) Whelpley of London in her 63rd year. Loving life partner of Ken Varley. Dear mother of Michael Whelpley and his wife Barb of Toronto and Elizabeth Whelpley and her husband Chad Sarrage of Montreal, Quebec. Loving grandmother of Emma, Rhegan and Spencer. Also survived by her parents Flemming and Tove Munch of Lambeth, her nephew Kirk Munch and his family of Nairn and her brother Carsten Munch of Shedden. A devoted mother and grandmother, Anette willingly shared a life long passion for books, movies, art and theatre with many friends and family members.   • William A. (Bill) McCoy

    McCOY — William Albert McCoy of London. On Saturday June 25th 2005 at University Hospital, peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, Bill lost his long battle with COPD. He was adored by his wife, Mary Ellen, who will miss him more than words can say. He was a devoted son of Elizabeth and Albert (deceased) McCoy, brother of Arthur (Alice) McCoy, and a dearest father to Laura (Charlie) Clement, Thomas (Jody) and Robert (Marie) and a very happy Grandpa to Alexa Rae and Jaden Laya. Bill retired from London Life Insurance Company in 1990 where many lifelong friendships were made. Throughout his life, he excelled in many sports. His love of sports and his alma mater, Michigan State University, were high points in his life along with meeting his wife who also attended M.S.U. He was one of the best fathers a child could ask for and supported his children in whatever endeavors and interests they had. Coaching teams or moral support. It was all there. We will all miss you. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the A. Loving grandmother of Dalene, John, Laurie Ann, Michael Chysyk, and Christine and Derek Volkmann and Robin and Samantha Wade and James and Patrick Dobie. Also survived by 7 great grandchildren.   • Alan Frederick Whitehead

    WHITEHEAD — Alan Frederick Whitehead (November 27 1916 – June 12 2005) passed away peacefully at Versa Care in Lambeth of an age related illness. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Alan had the passion of his generation for the novelty of aviation. As a teenager, he earned a dollar per day working along the railway lines and used it to pay for five dollar per hour flying lessons at the London Airfield. He had already logged solo flights when he volunteered with the RCAF in 1939 and trained as a navigator. After the war, he joined Bell Canada and held many managerial positions during his 38 years of service. Dearly missed by his beloved wife Helen Marjorie (McKiggan), daughter Heather (John) Trussler of Kitchener, son Alan John (Lucille) Whitehead of Windsor and daughter Stephanie (Robert) Ingalls of Windsor. Grandfather of Bryan Trussler of Kitchener, Scott (Corrie) Ingalls of Toronto, Sean Ingalls of B.C., Erin Whitehead and Craig Charnock of Toronto, and Meighen Whitehead of Windsor. Great-Grandfather of Nolan Charnock. Predeceased by his parents Harry Whitehead and Eliza Shergold and by many siblings. Survived by a sister and brother. Stanley was a Chief Warrant Officer with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (Retired), and a member of Kilwinning Lodge No. 64 A.F. & A.M. and the Mocha Temple.
