Neve Jr. and his wife Debbie of Belleview, Florida and Susan Slaughter and her husband David of London. Predeceased by her sister Barbara Foxworth and her brother William Connors. Dear father of Barry Judge (Celia) of London. Loving Bumpa of Cailan (Reema) and great-grandfather of Adam. Predeceased by his sisters Marguerite and Pearl and his brothers Jack, Charles and George. Also loved by his “number 2” sons Roger and Richard and his many nieces and nephews. Colin served with the R.C.A.F. form 1942 to 1945.   • Ron Johnson

    JOHNSON……

    Ronald “Ron” Johnson died peacefully on September 24, 2008 in St. Thomas hospital after a long battle with cancer. Ron is survived by his wife Nancy, his sons Trevor and Ron and their wives Karlene Kimber and Lisa King; his grandchildren Sydney, Kennedy, Book and Charlotte; his brother Leonard and his wife Helen and their children, as well as many other relatives. Ron is remembered as a fine father, a kind-hearted soul, and a funny, good-natured man. Ron attended South and Beal secondary schools followed by the Parson’s School of Art and Design in New York City. He had a long career with Jensen’s Furniture in London. He married Nancy Tait in 1965 and raised two sons to be caring and good-hearted chaps, just like him. A lover of music, an avid reader, a creative person, an antique aficionado, hockey fan, lover of red wine and coffee black with one sugar, Ron lived a full life, loved his family and left the world a better place. Ron Sr. will be well and truly missed. Friends will be received by the family from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Wesley Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 2 pm with Reverend Thomas D. Hiscock Officiating. Beloved mother of Catherine Barber of New Westminster, B.C., Barbara Trenholm of Oakville and Doug Airey and his wife Mary of Edmonton, Alberta. Loving grandmother of Matt and Andrew Barber; Tim, Mark and Craig Trenholm and Michael, Noelle and Janet Airey. Dear sister of Mary Aldis and her husband Dr. Robert Aldis of Guelph. Also missed by her nieces and nephews. Dorothy was a graduate of Victoria Hospital’s School of Nursing and served proudly as a Nursing Sister in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII. She was a long time resident of London, attended Tecumseh Public School and was one of the first graduates of South Secondary School. Dorothy was involved in numerous community organizations which she so thoroughly enjoyed. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the service (12:00 – 1:00 pm) at the A.     At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Monday September 15, 2008 George B. Lawson of London in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Grace C. (White) Lawson. Dear father of Julia Kane and her husband Calvin of Thornhill, Andrea Schluter and her husband Dolph of Vancouver and Janet Langford and her husband Don and son Ken Lawson (Webster House) of London. Also loved by 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers William and Thomas and sisters Georgina Anderson and Kathleen Downs. George was a decorated fighter pilot with the RCAF squadron #402 and D-Day Veteran. He was an inspirational math teacher for many years in Toronto before moving to the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Education. He retired as professor emeritus.
