    SCHOTT, Cherry Gertrude…..Peacefully at University Hospital, London on Thursday, October 7, 2010, Cherry Gertrude Schott in her 97th year. Born Tjeerdje Roman in Heiloo, Nld. on December 4, 1913. Predeceased by her parents Paulus and Geertruida Roman, son F/O Robert Paul Howard. Beloved wife of the late W. C. B. (Bill) Howard and the late Wilbert H. Schott. Dear friend of the late Frederick Tisseman and the late Frederick Simpson. Also predeceased by brothers Paul and Cornelius (Corey) Roman and nephew Richard Roman. Survived by daughter Diane Lutes of Moncton NB, grandchildren Kristin Reid, Megan Nemeskeri of NS, Alison Hanson of NB, William R. Howard, Peter C. Howard and 5 great grandchildren. Special thanks to the staff of Chelsea Park Retirement Community and the Palliative Care Team at University Hospital for making Cherry’s last days happy and peaceful. Cremation has taken place. Reception to celebrate Cherry’s life will be held at Cherryhill Senior’s Activity Club, 190 Cherryhill Drive, London, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 2-4 pm.     OTTER, Harold Gordon…..Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, Harold Gordon Otter in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Marie “Molly” (Ash) Otter. Cherished father of Wayne Otter and his wife Gladyse Mba of Stratford and Cheryl Spencer and her long time companion Larry Miller of London. Proud grandfather of Laicka, Michael and Jeffery. Predeceased by his brothers William, Norman, Herman, Charles, Russell and Herbert and his sisters Mary, Mabel and Audrey. Survived by his many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the nurses and all the staff at Parkwood Hospital on 4 Elgin/Bruce for their care and compassion these past several years. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Veterans Western Counties Wing at Parkwood Hospital in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, 801 Commissioners Road East, London with Reverend Darrell Shaule officiating. Loving father of Les Williams (Chantal), Tod Williams (Wendy) and Wayne Williams (Jenn). Proud grandfather of Trevor, Michael, Chris, Paige, Lucas, Chris and Alexia. Predeceased by his parents Marjory and Robert Williams and by his grand-daughter Lindsay (1996). Dear brother of Ron, Richard (Patricia) and Ross. Dear son-in-law of Ethel Whittington and the late Les Whittington and brother-in-law of Dianne Walker-Barfett. Also missed by his nieces and nephews. Dear brother of Doreen Rubeniuk and her husband Adam of Calgary, Maurice Fisher and his wife Faye of London, Van Fisher of South Bend, Indiana, Ken Fisher and his wife Joyce of Surrey, BC. Olivia Crockett of Toronto. Predeceased by his brother Raymond Fisher and his sister Winnifred Fisher. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob was a member of Bayfield Anglers Association, Nine Mile Steelers and Maitland Valley Anglers Association.     Roedding, Helen Elizabeth…..Helen Roedding, age 90 passed away peacefully with family by her side, at University Hospital London on Friday, October 1, 2010. She was born in Stratford, daughter of the late Percy and Vera Schmidt. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Roedding whom she married in 1950. Dear sister of Robert Schmidt, Stratford. Loved by several nieces and nephews and their families. Fondly remembered by many special friends. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her parents-in-law Milton and Mary Roedding, a sister Marion Gould, a brother-in-law William D. Gould and sister-in-law Lois Schmidt. Helen grew up in Sebringville, attending USS #2 public school, and SCVI High school, Stratford. In her younger years, she loved playing the piano and was active in Emmanuel United Church Sebringville in the church choir, playing piano for Mission Band and Young People. Long time resident of London, the Oakridge community and lately, Elmwood Retirement Home. She was a member of Riverside United Church where she sang in the choir for many years. Helen was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and later with Women’s Canadian Club, London. Friends and family will be received at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout St S, London on Thursday, October 7 2010 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. with Reverend Phil Newman officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery.
