Dear mother of Pat Partridge and his wife Judy of RR#3 Denfield. Also loved by her grandchildren Wendy Boniface and great grandson Jason, grand daughter Kristie Partridge and great grandson Jordan. She will also be sadly missed by her cousin Betty Hanes and family of London. Cremation has taken place. Beloved wife of the late Arturs Baumanis. Cherished mother of Velta Baumanis of Mt. Brydges. Dear step-mother of Ieva McNuit of Washington D.C., Maija Junzeme of Minnesota and the late Andris Baumanis and his wife Elizabeth. Proud grandmother of John McNuit, Anne, Alex, Amy and Maggie Baumanis. Will be missed by the great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Marija Indus-Mucinieks and Elza Mucineks. Dear brother of Tim Blanchard of Toronto and Cindy Stockwell (Perry) of Dorchester. Loved uncle of Brandon and Matthew. Beloved mother of Bill Heagy and his wife Susan of North York; Beth Peek and her husband the late Bill Peek of Scarborough; Alice White and her husband David of Lanark; Muriel Andreae and her husband Peter of London; Roger Heagy of London; Audrey Heagy and her husband David Okines of St. Williams; Cathy Giesbrecht and her husband David of London; Eleanor Heagy and her husband Greg Storms of Denfield. Loving grandmother of Laura Peek of Halifax and Jamie Peek of Toronto; Katy (White) Williams and her husband Rory of Twisp, WA and Heather White of Ottawa; Sylvia (Andreae) White and her husband Steven of Ottawa and Nicholas Andreae of Hamilton; and great grandmother of Madison Williams. Survived by her sister Irene Poole of Toronto; predeceased by her sisters Olive Mogk and Dorothy Noyes, and her brother Bill McDonald. Born in Kitchener on August 9th, 1918 and raised in Stratford, Jean married Fred in 1943. Jean trained as a nurse and worked in Stratford and London while Fred served overseas. After the war, they settled in London to raise their family. Jean shared her love of music, birding, gardening and the outdoors with all.     DORA WINIFRED (PEARCE) BLACHFORD, Died peacefully with her daughter Karen by her side on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at McCormick Home, London, Ontario in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late William J. “Bill” Blachford (April 7, 2004). Dear mother of Karen Markov (husband Dimitry) of Perth, Western, Australia. Step-mother of Trevor Blachford (wife Solange) of Brampton. Pre-deceased by her brother Franklin Pearce (October 26, 1994) and her sister Mary (Pearce) Oldham (June 23, 2007. Survived by sisters, Norine Campbell of Aurora and Alison Pearce of London. Also survived by her four nieces, two step-grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren. Dora was born in Wallacetown on July 22, 1924, the daughter of the late Ernest and Alice Pearce of Wallacetown. She was a graduate of the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing and the University of Western Ontario, London, where she obtained a Degree in Public Health. She had a long and varied nursing career in the city of London. Dora, attended St. George’s Anglican Church, London where she was a valued choir member for over 25 years. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Yemchuk, the nurses and staff for the care given to Dora during her stay at McCormick Home. Friends may call on Thursday, December 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London.     Laurie passed away Friday, November 26, 2010, at University Hospital in London, aged 82 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Esther (Seifred). Proud father of Gregg (Susan), Eloise (Drew) and Marilyn (Brian). Cherished Grampie of Cory, Alaina, Keira, Andrea, Ryan and Natalie. Dear brother of Gerald (Marion) and Lois (Roy) Bradley. Predeceased by his sister Noreen (Ed) Tucker. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick and raised in Woodstock, Laurie graduated from the University of New Brunswick in Electrical Engineering and started his long career with CNRail in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he met Esther. His remarkable 37 years at CN saw him rise to the position of Asst. Chief Engineer, Signals and Communications. Laurie represented CN at the Assoc. of American Railways and became a Fellow of the Assoc. of Railway Signals Engineers. Laurie had a happy retirement enjoying the company of friends and family to the last, often at their cottage of 37 years at Lake Macdonald, Quebec, where a constant stream of friends and family shared their little piece of heaven. The dignity, grace and generous spirit of this remarkable man will be terribly missed. Many thanks to the thoughtful staff of University Hospital, who made Laurie’s last days as comfortable as possible. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Laurie’s life will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 11:00AM at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout St. South, London, with visitation one hour prior to the service (10-11AM).     Peacefully, on November 24, 2010, at Parkwood Hospital, Nora in her 89th year. Beloved mother of Anne Craig and her husband Neil. Adoring grandmother of Lauren and Sandy Craig. Nora was predeceased by her husband Alex (2002), her brother Jim and her sisters Edith and Dorothy. She will also be sorely missed by Bessie and Charlie. Nora grew up in Trenton, Ontario and was the daugher of William and Delphine (Rochon) Alexander. Nora lived for a time in British Columbia where she met Alex . She returned from B.C. to London, and also lived in Hamilton and Aurora and then once again in London to be with her family. A private family service will be held at a later date and cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
