    Someone we LOVE has earned their wings and Heaven has another Angel. On Saturday October 20, 2012, Barbara Anne Nye in her 47th year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She will join her parents Ted and Carolyn in Heaven. Barbara will be greatly missed by siblings Leslie (Steve), John, and Allison (Peter). Cremation has taken place with a private family service to follow.

    Peacefully surrounded by her family at the Dearness Home, London on Friday, October 19, 2012 M. Evelyn (Powell) Cartier in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Alfred ” Al” Herman Cartier (1998). Dear mother of Karen Dooner (Terry) , Marcia Cartier all of London, Margaret Cartier of Ailsa Craig and John Cartier (Cinzia) of Port Perry. Loved grandmother of Paul Dooner (Susie Joe), Mark Dooner (Isabelle Debard), Megan Powell (Adam), Tomas and Matthew Cartier and great grandmother of Kelan Powell and Dominique Dooner. Dear sister of Marjorie Brown. Predeceased by brother Lorne Powell and sister Kay Braun. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted from St. Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church, 489 Pine Tree Drive (at Oban), London, on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 am with 1 hour prior visitation (10:00 – 11;00 am) with Reverend Canon Sidney G.     Peacefully at McCormick Home, London on Thursday, October 18, 2012, Anne H. (Walker) Ames in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Ames (2001). Predeceased by her brother Donald C. Walker. Dear friends of Sandy and Bob Morrison and Donna and Gord Chesney. Anne served with the WRCNS during World War II. The friends of Anne would like to thank the staff at McCormick Home, for their kindness and professionalism. Cremation has taken place.   • Edward “Ted” Cecil Buck

    Edward (Ted) Cecil – In his 92nd year, peacefully with family at his side at the London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital London on October 18, 2012. Beloved husband of Gladys, and predeceased by Dorothy Ross Buck (1994) and sister Mildred Ottaway (2005), father of Pat (Warren), Ted (Glenda) and Susan, step-father of Michael, Lynda, Janice and Jacki. Loved grandfather of Melissa, Geoffrey, Sally, Andrea, Eric, Alex and Sarah, and great-grandfather of Lauren, Jackson, Liam, Michi, Eimi, Emma, Ben and Sabine. Ted joined the No.1 Detachment – Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps, Canadian Army in 1939, serving throughout WWII, in Korea from (1953-54) and in Vietnam with the International Control Commission (1965-1966).
    Ted became involved in building and flying aircraft replicas in his teen years and over the past six decades built close to 100 model aircraft. He became a member of the Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (MAAC) in the early 1950’s, and was also a pioneer of London’s Forest City Flyers. In September 2012 he was awarded the MAAC Pioneer Award for more than 50-years of achievement.Cremation has taken place.Family and friends are invited to A Celebration of Ted’s life which will take place at London’s Wolseley Barracks Officers’ Mess, Sunday, November 4th. 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice, or Community Living London.

    Gently gone to be with the Lord, on Friday, October 12, 2012 Marion Field in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Edward Field. Loving mother of Paul Field (Pattie), Ruth Whatmough (Graham), Maryhelen Buchanan (Tim), Naomi Pye (the late Albert), Martha Brown (Dan), Miriam Davidson (Norman) and Annajane Doak (Brian). Cherished grandmother of 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her grand daughter Susanna Pye. Marion served as a Wren in the Canadian Navy during WWII and worked 20 years in Eaton’s china department. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 pm, on Sunday, October 14, 2012 and one hour prior to the service (12-1 pm) on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street, South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 1 pm.     On Thursday, October 11, ended a long battle with illness. John leaves behind 2 daughters, Laura and Lisa – their mother Shellie and his close friend Kim. beloved son of Peter and Nancy Flynn, 6 siblings, uncle, aunts, cousins, many nieces and nephews and friends. And we all have lost a fine tradesman. We would like to thank all the people at Victoria Hospital and others who assisted John throughout his illness and made him comfortable during his passing. Beloved daughter of Marian (Noyes) Trestain and the late William “Bill” Trestain.
