    PIERSON, William “Bill”….

    Surrounded by his family, peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, on December 31, 2015 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Betty (McCormick) Pierson. Dear father of Barry Pierson and his wife Claire of Denfield. Also loved by his grandchildren Susan Pierson (John), Will Pierson (Heather), Kathy Pierson (Steve) and great-granddaughter Shyah. Predeceased by his brothers Gordon Pierson of Sarnia, Herbert Pierson of Chatham and his sister Marion Lupson of London. Missed by many nieces and nephews. Bill was an active member of the London Central Lions Club, a former member of Empress United Church and a current member of the Colborne United Church. Bill will be fondly remembered by the Standardbred horse racing community as an owner and trainer for many years. He was a proud Veteran whom resided at Parkwood in London. Friends will be received by the family 9:30-10:30 am on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Devoted and loving father of Andre (Jackie), Adrian (Trina) and Sam (Tara) and step-father of Crystal Lockhart and Adrian Roefs. Beloved and proud grandfather of Alex, Dallas, Amari, Kailee, Lexus, Jessica, Tyson, Makya and Skyla. Dear brother of Rose-Helen (Claude), Muguette (late Gerard), Fernande (Henri), Lucille (Rejean), Cecile (Pierre), Jean (Monique), Alain (Iris), Jacques (Wendy), Claude (Sherry), Raynald (Vicki) and Rene. Also survived by his sisters-in-law Vanessa and Diane. Predeceased by his parents Zenaide and Stanislas, by his sister Louise and brothers Yvon and Michael.
