Bill was a great Lion and a great person to know. He will be missed by many.
What can I say about Pop…
He took me to my first horse Race Placed my first $2 bet for me. And of course taught me to always bet on his horse because it was the winner!!!Its amazing what sticks in your head after 40 + years.
Pop was always smiling when I showed up. Always with arms out wide looking for a hug and kiss.
He loved my kids. And for that I’m so grateful.
Pop you made me feel good about myself. You watched me grow up and I consider myself very lucky to have had so many years with you in my life.
P.s when you get to the track up there be sure to bet on the winner and give my love to Nan, and my Papa and Grandma. No doubt it will be a hell of a race!
Our sympathies to the family on the loss of this wonderful family member
I am a recreation staff at Parkwood Hospital. Bill and I played euchre every Wednesday morning together. I also had the pleasure of attending camp with him this past June. What a wonderful person Bill was. He was a dear friend and I enjoyed all of our visits. He will be missed by all. We won’t turn up a jack in euchre now without saying “good day jack”.
To Barry, Claire and family, Our sincere thoughts are with you. May the fond memories you hold comfort you during the difficult times. Bernadette and Art Mercer
Sending our deepest sympathy Barry and Claire. May you and your family cherish your times together with your father and all the memories that were made.
Bill was our neighbour on Walnut/Cavendish when I was growing up. I will always remember as a child of 5 or 6 going to talk to him in the garden or in his shop……fond memories of a wonderful man. It was great to have a visit with him at Betty’s visitation. Both will be missed very much.

I loved Bill as a dear and sweet friend. When I lived at Cherryhill, he and his friend Beryle and another friend would play cards once a month at each other’s apt. I have so many fond memories of those times. I used to visit Bill when I could at Parkwood and I’m so grateful that I was able to drop his Christmas card off before Dhristmas. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, dear friend!
