Mel was in his 98th year, predeceased by his long-time sweetheart of 71 years, Una. Loving father of Carole (Alden) Malcomson London ON, and Dale (Joy) Robertson, Toronto, ON. Dear ‘Gramps’ to Kelly-Anne Malcomson, Whitehorse, Yukon, Paul (Paula) Malcomson, London, ON, Emily (David) Materick, Toronto ON, Derek Robertson, William (Sian) Robertson Toronto, ON. Loved by great grandchildren Evan and James Malcomson and twins to come for Emily and David. Previously deceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Nova Scotia. Family would like to thank the staff at peopleCare for 5 years of ongoing care and compassion and excellent Palliative Care. Mel was an active volunteer, Kiwanis Member, avid golfer and member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church, Byron. His greatest pleasure was doing something for others. Memorial service to be held at A.     Passed away suddenly on Friday, September 11, 2015, at Victoria Hospital, London, in his 55th year. Beloved husband of Marie. Loving father of Josh (Marta) Rogers and Bronwyn Wilson. Cherished Grampa of Cameron Rogers. Allan will be sadly missed by his sister Brenda Rideout, nephew Spencer, and his furry family, Beckham, Poppy, Rufus, Biscuit, and grand dog Diego. Predeceased by his daughter Kathleen Wilson (2012). Friends will be received by the family at A. Dear sister of Bill Nickles, Jane Wood, Carole (Rick) Moutherous and Tim (Krista) Wood. Amazing aunt of Elisa, Andrew, Stephen and Christine. Also Survived by her brothers-in-law Bill and Doug (Wendy). Predeceased by her parents William Nickles, Betty Wood and step-father Ralph Wood.     Peacefully at his home on Monday September 7, 2015 Gerald “Gerry” Munro in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Carole (Cox) Munro for 53 years. Dear father of Glenn Munro and his wife Joy of Sudbury, and Ian Munro and his wife Heather of Sturgeon Falls. Cherished grandfather of Emma and James of Sudbury. Missed by his brother and sisters Ron Munro (Norma), Eileen Graham (Don), and Linda Munro. Predeceased by his son Scott Munro, his brother Jack and his sisters Carolyn and Brenda. During his 35 year career with Bell Canada and 5 years with Angus Telemanagement he made many friends and enriched many lives. He will be sorely missed by friends and family. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday September 10, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at A Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Prayers will be held at 3:30pm.   • Grace Marilyn Earley

    Earley, Grace Marilyn (nee Rodick) 1937-2015 …….
    In London Ontario at the Palliative Care Unit of the Parkwood Institute on Sunday September 6 2015. Grace was the daughter of Eva Belle Tate and William Johnston Rodick. She is predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) Samuel Earley and her brother John Stewart Rodick. Grace was a respected educator in the London Community. She loved and supported amateur theatre and arts projects in the city. Grace loved the open road and gathered friends wherever she travelled. Friends, family and neighbours rallied around Grace in person and with cards, emails, phone calls and flowers before her death. Thanks to the staffs of the Parkwood Palliative Care Unit and Community Care Access Centre. Cremation has taken place. At Grace’s request, there will be no service. A celebration of her life is taking place for close friends and relatives. Donations may be directed to London Fringe Festival Theatre, 207 King St., London Ontario N6A 1C9. Dear father of Kenneth Van Dyk and his wife Benita of Dorchester, Douglas Van Dyk of St.Thomas, Jacqueline van Dyk and her husband Neil Firkins of Vancouver. Dear brother of Reta Bisschop and her late husband Andy of Clinton and three brothers and two sisters in Holland. Also loved by his grandchildren James, Jessica (Alex), Jennifer (JP), Justine (Jon), Benjamin, Abbey and great granddaughters Lillyana and Arabella. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.     Helga passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, in her 85th year, after a brief illness, at London Health Sciences Centre. She will be sadly missed by her partner of 37 years, Jack Harcourt and her much loved daughters Diana Yandt, and Terry Murdoch (Grant). Helga was predeceased by her parents, Stefan and Anna Paal, and son-in-law Barry Yandt.The family would like to thank her sisterhood of friends; Sylvia, Margaret, Cathy and Judy for their support and friendship with mom over many years. We know that they will miss her dearly; as will we. Helga was active in her retirement, and will be missed by her friends at Tai Chi, the ladies group from the Bob Hayward YMCA , as well as her wonderful neighbours and friends. Helga will be remembered by many from her 31 years of service at the Province of Ontario Savings Office, which she retired from in 1992.
    The family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff from the Victoria Hospital Critical Care Trauma Unit, and the 6th floor Geriatric ACE unit, for the care and kindness shown to our mother during her brief stay with them. Visitation will be held at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street, South, London, on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 10am – 11am, where a Memorial Service will take place at 11am.     Rev. Herbert Wallace Wonfor (1924-2015). With sadness, the family of Herb Wonfor announces his death on September 3rd at his late residence, Grand Wood Park, London. Herb was the beloved husband of Margaret (nee Brown) for 58 years. His memory will be cherished by his five children: Janet O’Brien (Kevin), Ruth Beggs, John (Siva Swaminathan), Katherine, and Alison Gibbs (Stephen) and his grandchildren: Andrea and Jeffrey Beggs, Isaac and Rachel Gibbs, Gabriel O’Brien (Meaghan), Jeffrey O’Brien and Swetha Wonfor and great-granddaughter, Addison O’Brien. He is survived by a brother-in-law James Brown and his wife Eunice of Nepean, ON. Herb was born in Montreal, the son of the late John and Gertrude Wallace Wonfor. He was predeceased by his only brother John and sister-in-law Pat. Herb was educated in the Protestant School System in Westmount, QC and at McGill University where he received degrees in Science, Commerce and Divinity. In 1952 he was ordained a minister of the United Church of Canada and during 38 years of pastoral ministry served congregations in Peace River, AB; Ottawa; Hudson, QC; Clinton, Maidstone, Windsor and Durham. He also served the United Church through his contribution in various committees at the Presbytery, Conference and General Conference level. Upon retirement in 1990, Herb and Margaret moved to London where they participated as volunteers in church and community life. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Grand Wood Park for care and kindness over the past few months and also to the palliative care team of the V.O.N. whose expertise and compassionate care gave us strength for the trials of the past few weeks. Friends will be received by the family from 6-8 pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street, South, London. A service of thanksgiving for Herb’s life will be held at Wesley-Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11 am.
