AITKEN, Mary….
In the comfort of her home on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, Mary (Findlay) Aitken of London at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Harry Aitken for 28 years and the late Archie Maxwell (1983). Cherished mother of Heather (John) Paas of Strathroy and step-mother to Eric (Pat) of BC and Ted (Bonnie) of London. Proud grandmother to Kyle, Krystal, Kristian, Scott, Stephanie, Darrell, Joshua (Maaike), Luke (Miranda) and great-grandmother to Ella and Henry. Dear sister of Margaret (Harold) Gibbons of Winnipeg, Jean (Robert) Sandercott of Grand Bend, Ina Flanders of Clinton and George (Carol) of St. Thomas. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Pat Findlay and Jean Andress and brother-in-law Norman (Donna). Predeceased by her brothers William (Betty), James, Charles (Ruby) and her sisters Sadie (Ted) Smith, Betty (Keith) Squire and Irene (Bob) Flannigan. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mary was a life member of Bethlehem Chapter No. 136 of the Eastern Star. Friends will be received on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 2-4 pm & 7-9pm at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, where the service will be conducted in the chapel Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11am. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. It is with sadness that we learned of Mary’s passing but it was with happiness that we welcomed her into our family 28 years ago. It has been a joy to see the warmth and love that she shared with our Dad. She will missed by all that were close to her.
