  • Natalie Clara Erskine

At her residence, surrounded by family, Natalie passed away on February 27, 2018 in her 95th year.  Dear sister of Norma Lewis (Robert) and Gerald Erskine of Ottawa. Predeceased by her older brothers Robert and Jack Erskine.  Also survived by Bob Erskine, Chris Lewis (Sharon), Natalie French (Chris), Leslie Miller (Peter) and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Natalie was a strong, lovely, intelligent and fun lady.  Known by many as simply ‘Aunt Nat’, she valued her independence and was fiercely loyal to family and friends.

The daughter of Len and Lottie Erskine, Natalie was born at home on Dufferin Avenue in 1923 and was a lifelong resident of London, Ontario.

In her early years, Natalie enjoyed dance lessons and horseback riding on weekends. After graduating from Beal Technical School, she began a long career as a skilled stenographer, and worked at the Bank of Montreal for over 35 years.

Natalie developed a passion for skiing and, as a Founding Member of the London Ski Club, volunteered for many years as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board of Directors.

When Natalie was a young woman, her Aunt Bea treated her to a lengthy European vacation and thus began her passion for travel.   Every year Natalie would have at least one trip planned, and ended up traveling throughout the world, always learning about the history and culture of the countries she visited. In her later years, she loved to settle in to a good book and looked forward to her visits to the Public Library.

Natalie was loved by many and will be dearly missed by many.
