Tibor Bacsi
BACSI — Tibor Bacsi of London, a gentle, good and decent human being, left us Sunday May 16th 2004 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of 53 years to Violet (Kokeza) Bacsi. Dear son of the late Iren and Ferenc Bacsi; brother of the late Klara Campbell/Telekes; uncle of Clara Emma Bacsi; godfather of John Uzonyi; great-uncle of Steven Paul Braun and Peter Michael Braun; great-great-uncle of Samantha Klare Braun; also remembered fondly by Victoria (Vicki) Moreau and by many friends. Tibor was a retired employee of the University of Western Ontario. He loved reading, weight lifting, gardening and caring for his Scottie, Argyll. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church (St. Stephen of Hungary Congregation), 377 Oakland Avenue, London, on Wednesday May 19th at 12 Noon with Reverend Nicholas Deak officiating. Cremation to follow. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7.30 o’clock. Survived by Telf Struthers and his wife Vera of Hanover, Shirley Thompson and her husband Dale of Lion’s Head, and Jaeney Chun and her husband Hwan of Mississauga, and all their families. Ralph Thomas MacKinnon Allan
ALLAN…Ralph Thomas MacKinnon Allan peacefully at home on May 5th, 2004, in his 63rd year after a courageous and determined battle. Dearly beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Delaute) and loving father of Margaret and Alison, all of London. Dear brother of Mollie McBride of Houston, Texas. Father-in-law of David Kulikowski and Anthony Trollope of London. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Margaret Allan of Granby, Quebec and his sister Margaret Higginson of Kitchener, Ontario. Appreciated for his sharp mind, generous spirit, and keen sense of humour, Tom will be remembered by family, friends, and colleagues as a loving husband and father, respected businessman, philanthropist, and good friend. During his time in London, he made many dear friends and contributed greatly to his community through both his professional and charitable activities. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation at home, 2133 Westdel Bourne, from 4:30-8pm on Friday, May 7th and Sunday, May 9th. A memorial service celebrating Tom’s life will be held on Monday, May 10th at 11am at First-St. Andrews United Church, 350 Queens Avenue at Waterloo Street in London, with the Reverend Dr. David McKane officiating. Special thanks to the nursing team at St. Elizabeth Health Care, Dr. Kirk Hamilton, and the Wellspring caregiver support group who helped make it possible for Tom to spend his last weeks at home.
