Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation – Mount Hope Centre For Long Term Care, London, on Sunday, September 17th, 2006, Helen Marion (Pennie) Powell of London in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Powell (1988). Daughter of the late James and Laura Pennie. Loving mother of Don Powell and his wife Ellen and Jim Powell and his wife Mary, all of London. Much loved Grandmother of Allison and her husband Michael Marsman and Elizabeth and her husband Chris Jenkins, all of London. Predeceased by her brother Kenneth Pennie and his wife Marjorie. Helen’s infectious laugh and love of life will be remembered and cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. Friends will be received by the family from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday, September 22nd, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Canon R. W. Foster officiating. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. ELLIOTT — At Chesley Park Nursing Home, London, on Saturday September 16th 2006, Beatrice May Elliott of London in her 96th year. Loving daughter of the late Thomas and Nettie Elliott. Predeceased by her brother Thomas Gordon Elliott and her sister Margaret Ona Soden. Dear sister-in-law of Lloyd Soden of Palmerston and sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Beatrice was a longtime employee of London Life Insurance, was a member of Highland Golf and Country Club for over 50 years, and was an avid duplicate bridge player. A graveside service will be held at Palmerston Cemetery, Palmerston, on Tuesday September 19th at 2 P.M.
