    HESSEL……

    Keith Hessel of London, peacefully passed away at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital, with family at his side, on Thursday, April 26, 2007. Dearly loved husband of Margaret (Dunn) Hessel for 53 years. Loving father to Dave Hessel (Nancy) and Sue Simpson (Bob). Precious grandpa to Nate and Luke Hessel and Cara and Emily Simpson. Big brother to Ted Hessel (Libby) and brother-in-law to Chris Dunn (Gerri). Cremation. A celebration of Keith’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., at St. James Westminster Anglican Church, 115 Askin Street, London, with Archdeacon Ken Anderson officiating.     MARSHALL: At Victoria Hospital, London on Wednesday, April 25th. 2007, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Joan M. (Elliott) Marshall of London in her 69th year. Joan enjoyed her nursing career and her volunteer work at Victoria Hospital. Beloved wife of L. James (Jim) Marshall. Dear mother of Doug Marshall and his wife Martha of London, Joanne Bensted and her husband Grahame of Calgary, Alberta, and Jamie Marshall and his wife Nicole of London. Dear sister of Patricia Fyvie and her husband Jamie of Toronto. Dear daughter of Mrs. Elva May Elliott of London and the late Garnet Elliott. Also loved by her grandchildren Shayne and Cori Bensted, Hayley, Rachel, Sam, Matthew and Megan Marshall and her many nieces and nephews and their families.     On April 22, 2007, after a very courageous battle, Barbara Joan (Quayle) Scoyne in her 74th year, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife for 56 years of Leonard, cherished and deeply loved mother of Deborah Jazey (Gary) and Chris Scoyne (Karen). Dearly beloved grandmother of Jessica, Damon (Ruth), Lisa (Rob), Lacee, Alex and Brett (Ruschell), step-grandmother of Justin, Jessica and Macauley and great-grandmother of Amber and Jordan. Loving sister of Gloria Rainwater (George) and brother Robert Quayle. Beloved niece of Betty Lee and sister-in-law Mickey Stock. Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and beloved dog Sam.   • Margit Rosa Gahlinger

    GAHLINGER…..

    Margrit Rosa Gahlinger died peacefully in her sleep and surrounded by family, in her 90th year, at London Health Sciences Centre on April 19, 2007. Born Margrit Frei in Gahwil, Switzerland, she suffered the early loss of her beloved husband, Anton Josef Gahlinger, with whom she will be interred. Margrit was well known in the London community for her social service and volunteer activities, for which she received the first Mary Campbell award in 1983. She was always modest and compassionate, especially toward those who had struggled through poverty and hardship, as she had, to make a new life in a foreign land. To all who knew her, she was a beacon of hope and optimism. To her family, she was a lighthouse of faith and integrity. She is survived by her children Maria, Margrit, Tony, Peter, Trudy, Paul, Tess, Claudia and Rosemary; her grandchildren Dan, Sean, Ria, Adrian, Carmen and Calen; and her great-granddaughter Angelita; her brother Capuchin Fr Ingebert and her sister Anneli Frei. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (9-10am) at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, London, where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 10am with Father Callistus St Louis officiating. Dear mother of Joan Thibert, Dorothy Graham (Ray), Robert Colquhoun (Ria) and Gary Colquhoun (Pauline). Loving grandmother of Nancy Liske, Rob Hughes (Janette), Gil Graham (Carrie), Rick Graham (Susan), Carol Graham, Rob and Ryan Colquhoun . Edna will be missed by her 8 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Gilbert Jr. Colquhoun and son-in-laws James Hughes and Clare Thibert. Edna worked for many years at Sunset Haven, Welland.
