BREWE, Kathleen…..Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Friday, October 9, 2009 Kathleen Marie (Bridgeman) Brewe of London in her 79th year. Beloved wife of J. Ronald Brewe. Dear mother of Jeffery Ronald Brewe and James Randolph Brewe and his wife Catherine all of London and Stephanie Lynn Garbyz and her husband Stephen of St. Thomas. Dear grandmother of Chris, Danielle and Jennifer. Dear sister of Robert Bridgeman and his wife Susan of Cambridge, Leonard Bridgeman of Guelph, June Reynolds of Timberidge, B.C. and Jacqueline Brewe of Ottawa. Predeceased by her sister Clara Muldoon. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 3-5pm and 7-9pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 where a memorial service will be conducted in the chapel on October 15, 2009 at 1:00pm. Interment in St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery. Beatrice Cavell (Rose) Murphy in her 93rd year. At University Hospital, London, on October 8, 2009, peacefully, in her daughter’s arms. Loving mother of Shawne Murphy and her husband, Frank Capitano. She will be fondly remembered by Margaret, Scott and Zachary Lindsay of London, Katherine Capitano of Toronto, Betsy Capitano and Alec and Sarah Fiszauf of Brantford, her sister-in-law Bonnie McQuaid of Oshawa and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Orpha (Shain) and Joseph Rose and her siblings, Eleanor, Lloyd, Donald and Mae. Bea was raised on a farm in Clarkson and moved to Oshawa as a young woman to train as a nurse. She was a member of the 1940 graduating class at Oshawa General Hospital and had a long and distinguished nursing career in Oshawa. In retirement, she moved to London to be near her daughter. She resided at Masonville Manor, Longworth Retirement Home and most recently, McCormick Home. Bea had a lifelong commitment to helping others and was active in many volunteer organizations, including St. Paul’s Daily Bread program, Friendship-in-Action and Ronald McDonald House. She was a member of St. Luke’s the Evangelist Anglican Church. She will be remembered for her humour, resilience and enthusiasm for life. Bea was blessed with good health for 91 years. Friends will be received by the family at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London from 7 to 9 pm Monday, October 12th and 12 noon to 1 pm Tuesday October 13th where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel, at 1:00 pm. Interment at Springcreek Cemetery, Mississauga beside her parents and siblings on Wednesday, October 14th at 12 noon. After a courageous journey with Multiple Sclerosis, Jeff Morrison (in his 46th year) died in the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital, London, on Monday, September 28, 2009. All who loved Jeff give thanks for his life and are grateful he is now at peace. Jeff was the cherished youngest child of Anne and Jack Morrison of Victoria, B.C. He is remembered with love by: his sister Rev. Wendy Brown, who walked by his side, and her husband Tim of Guelph; sister Catherine Lemieux and her husband Ron of Ottawa; brother John Morrison and his wife Carole of Prince George, B.C. Jeff was the proud uncle of Robyn Brown, Steve Lemieux (Janice), Dr. Chris Lemieux (Bridget McMahon) and James Morrison. Grateful thanks are extended to all who gave compassionate care to Jeff at Marian Villa (2nd floor) and at University Hospital. Cremation has taken place. At Chelsey Park Nursing Home, London, on Saturday, September 26, 2009, Donald George Marshall, MD, FRCS(C), FAAP, in his 84th year, of complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Survived by his wife, Barbara (nee Blackwell), son Andrew (Margaret) of London, daughter Nancy Moore (Tim) of Calgary, son Paul (Kelly) of London, stepson Ian McRonald (Heike Raschl) of Toronto, and stepdaughter Leigh-Anne Fosdahl (Patrick) of Castro Valley, CA. Also survived by his siblings, Betty Lumsden (George), Dorothy Wills (Owen), Dan (Ede), and Jim (Doreen); his grandchildren, Davidson and Abigail Marshall, Joel, Matthew, and Katie Moore, Joshua and Sarah Marshall, Hanna Raschl-McRonald, and Collin, Jonathan, and Adam Fosdahl, and innumerable nieces and nephews nigh unto the next generation. Predeceased by his first wife, Jean (nee Davidson), his brother Dave, and his parents, George and Euphemia. Born in Woodstock on July 30, 1926, he grew up on Teresa Street, London, and attended Victoria Public School and South Collegiate Institute. He graduated from Medical School at the University of Western Ontario in 1949. After postgraduate training in Toronto, London, England, and Cleveland, he returned to London where he practiced and taught pediatric and general surgery for over 35 years. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, and for one hour before the memorial service which will be conducted in the chapel at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, Reverend Bob Wilson and Reverend Tim Moore officiating.
