Predeceased by his parents Alice and Harry Shortreed and his sister Barbara. Loving brother of Joan (Dave) Walsh of Dorchester. Dear uncle of Andrew and Jeffery Walsh. Dear father of Dianne Gibson and her husband Glenn, Darlene Hewgill and her husband John and Ken Wilsher and his wife Cathy. Predeceased by his brothers Noble and Gerald Wilsher. Dear grandfather of Sarah Tedford and her husband Drew, Dr. Rebecca Gibson and her husband Max Hamel, Paul Gibson and his wife Heather, Leah Postma and her husband Shawn, Daniel Hewgill and his wife Josi and Lily Hewgill. Also loved by his great-grandchildren, Gracie, William and Wesley Tedford, Emilie and Dominique Hamel and Isabella and Benjamin Hewgill. Nelson worked for 37 years with the Royal Bank, retiring as Bank Manager. He will be missed by his friends from “the Young at Heart Golfers”. It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Charles Gregory announce his passing on Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Victoria Hospital, London in his 78th year. Beloved husband amd best friend of Donna (Regan) Gregory for 54 years. Devoted and proud father of Vicki Huisman and her husband Wayne of Mount Brydges and Mike Gregory and his wife Kim of Belmont. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Josh (Jessica), Shawn (Kristina), Nicole and Carly and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Verna Gregory, and his sisters Helen Muxlow and Lori Gregory. Tom’s family and friends were the joy in his life and he will be sadly missed by all. Tom worked in the optical business for over 60 years and was respected by all. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday March 7th at the A. Loving father of sons Tom and Bruce (Lori) of London and Tim of Alberta. Dear grandfather of Erin of London, and Tyler and Patrick of Calgary. Dear great-grandfather of Meadow. Predeceased by his mother Eva and step-father Tom Cash, his brother Hugh and his step-sister Lois. Bill served in the Lincoln and Welland Regiment, Canadian Army, during WWII. COULSON, Melva Jean (Ward)……Passed away peacefully on Monday March 1, 2010 surrounded by her family. She leaves a legacy of love to her children, Sandy McNab and her husband Peter, Karen Shuttleworth, Jim Coulson and his wife Lynda, and Andrew Coulson and his wife Melanie. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Peter McNab Jr. and his wife Sheila, Scott McNab and his wife Linda, James McNab and his wife Tracy, Kerry Worth and her husband Simon, Sara Cameron and her husband Doug, Christy Coulson, Brittany Coulson, Tom Coulson, Mae Coulson and Kendra Coulson; as well as her great grandchildren, Shelby, Anna, Lauren, Kyle, Kristopher, Kaitlyn, Kennedy, Eyob and Cole. She will be deeply missed by her dear sisters, Merlyn Coulson and Marg Tingey and her husband George. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Earl Garfield Coulson (1990).
Mel’s family was the joy of her life and her friendships, many lifelong, brought her great happiness. She lived her life gratefully, lovingly and with grace. Joan was born in Bubwith Yorkshire England on November 16, 1921. Joan was an avid lawn bowler and gardener. She was a long time dedicated employee of Eatons. She was a W.A.A.F.in the R.A.F. at Middleton St. George Yorkshire. She received the mentioned in Despatch, also where she met her husband who was in the R.C.A.F. Helen, with family beside her, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2010, in her 101st year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. William Stephen Dick. Devoted and wonderful mother of Bill (Ila), Suzanne (Dave) and David (Patsy). Grandmother to Donna (2007), Scott, Fraser (Leslie), Lauren, Emily and great-grandmother to Brendan and Avery. Predeceased by her sister “Bea” Elizabeth Cameron. Received her R.N. from Victoria Hospital in 1933. Helen was a caring, dedicated volunteer with the Victoria Auxiliary and an honorary life member. Over many years, Helen an active member of the United Church, held firm to her faith in Jesus Christ. She lived life well as she grew old with courage, grace and dignity.
