Proud father of Jenise Jarvis and her husband Mark and Timothy “T.J.” Rozak and his wife Marianne all of London. Loving grandfather of Keira and Conlan Jarvis and Natalie Rozak. Survived by his 5 sisters and 2 brothers. The family would like to thank Reverend Newman and many friends and family for their love and support. Cremation has taken place.     McDOWELL, George……Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, George McDowell in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Hazel (Luno) McDowell. Dear father of David McDowell and his wife Catrina of Pennsylvania State, U.S.A., Diane McDowell and her husband David Slater of Toronto and Steven McDowell and his wife Susan of Waterloo. Dear brother of Lorna McDowell of Vancouver B.C. Loving grandfather to Scott and Julia McDowell. LIfelong friend to Howard Love of Toronto. Flight Lieutenant McDowell served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and overseas from 1942 – 1975, followed by a career at Canada Trust. On retirement he became an active volunteer at LHSC – Victoria Hospital. Friends will be received by the family from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with a funeral service that will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October 16th, at St. George’s Anglican Church, 227 Wharncliffe Road North, London.     On October 13, 2009, Martha, in her 78th year, went to be with her Lord after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Beloved wife of Reverend Robert W. Wilson of London, Ontario, loving mother of Paul Wilson (Yvonne) of Cambridge, Ontario and Jeannie Wilson of Elmvale, Ontario. Dear sister of Lucinda Hamilton of Longview, Texas and Warner Hutchison of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Martha served faithfully alongside Bob, her husband of 54 years. She was a gifted teacher, counselor and hostess who gave generously to others. For many years, she led a Ladies Coffee Hour at Wortley Baptist Church in London and spoke at many women’s meetings and retreats throughout Ontario. She was a member of the board of the Sudan Interior Mission. She loved and was loved deeply, and she will be sorely missed. “A woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30 Visitation will take place at the A. Millard George Funeral Home located at 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. Thomas Blaine (Ret’d) and his wife Terry of Hamburg, New York, Mrs. Barbara Langdon and her husband George of Avon Park, Florida and Mrs. Carolyn Lamar and her husband Charles of Frisco, Colorado. Beloved wife and best friend of Verne Johnson. Loving mother of Jeff and his wife Joyce, of Stratford; and Nancy McCurdy of Toronto. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Cole and Caitlyn Johnson and Evan and Jenna McNamara. Dear sister of Nellie Cooper, Nettie Sharp and her husband Allin of London and Tom Cooper and his wife Jean of St. Thomas. Predeceased by her son-in-law Daniel McCurdy, her sisters Muriel Archer and Ila Cooper and her parents Cecil and Annie (Williams) Cooper of Springford. Betty worked many years at The Bank of Commerce in Tillsonburg and Woodstock, and later with Verne in the insurance business. She enjoyed golfing, playing cards, watching hockey, and spent many happy years of retirement at their cottage in Dorset. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family at the A.     The heaven’s have another star, one of seven sisters. On Saturday, October 10, 2009 Evelyn Lorna (Fisher) Jollimore in her 90th year. Loving and proud mother to her four daughters, Jackie Wilson (Jim), Stephanie Bowman (Pete), Lesley Tchorek (Frank) and Wendy Durnin (Doug). Treasured and missed Nanny of Erin (Todd), Jennifer (Jay), Andrew (Jammie), Jeremy (Jess), Dylan, Alecia, Ryan and Emma, and great Nanny of Ethan, Ellie, Mitchell, Paige, and Alyssa. Also, missed by her beloved dog Rosie. Predeceased by her bothers Bob, Charlie, Horace and sisters Lil, Flo, Glad, Rose, Iris and Elizabeth (Infant). Beloved Auntie & Great Auntie to her nieces & nephews in England, distant in miles but not in her heart. Special friend to Kay, Pat, Fran, Mary, Isobel, Joy, Joan, Marianne. During the war effort Eve worked for a pharmaceutical factory, other occupations in England included: working for the civil service, as an operator, and later as a teletypist for the Western Union. Mom was a retiree from Northern Telecom, and after her retirement a supportive member of the Bell Pioneers. She loved to travel and sing; as a long time member of the London Sweet Adelines she enjoyed both. She was also an accomplished ballroom dancer, honing her skills on the dance floors of wartorn England. Mom loved to knit & was seldom without her needles. She was also a gifted needlepoint artist. She was a supportive, caring, devoted mother to her family with a special place in her heart for all creatures, especially her dogs. She loved her summers at Lake Huron, spending her past seven summers at Greenhaven Trailer Park, Grand Bend. Special thanks from the family to the caregivers on Lawson Lane, at McGarrell Place Longterm Care Facility, London, and her exceptional personal caregivers, from Helping Hands Plus inc. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family on Friday, October 16, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where a private family memorial service will be conducted with Spiritual Care Coordinator, Susan Lupson officiating.
