It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Joseph William Alexander “Bill” Tessier at his residence on Friday, October 30, 2009 in his 61st year. Loving father of Jessica, Jordan and Jeff Tessier. Also missed by Lisa Lusby. Sadly missed by his mother Margaret Tessier and his siblings Merle Tessier, Joanne Stanley and her husband Beven and Barry Tessier. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Peacefully at University Hospital, London, Joan Carolyn (Orzen) Lancaster, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of John Lancaster. Loving mother to Wesley John Lancaster and Tracey Andrus and her husband Jeff. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Abigail Grace Andrus, Emily Joan Andrus and Coleman Lancaster. Also missed by her brother-in-law Robert Lancaster, sister-in-law Marilyn Lancaster and her nephew Brent Lancaster. A special thank you to South Street Dialysis Unit for all their care and compassion for the past 5 years. Also thank you to the Critical Care Unit staff at University Hospital, 2nd Floor, Sandra, Cathy and Kamala. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Graveside service at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 2723 Victoria Street North, Kitchener on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 2pm with Reverend Allan Scharlach officiating. Cherished “Omie” of Terri Geddes (Scott) and Dawn Geddes (Keith), Chris Geddes, Jeff Geddes (Natalie) and Mark Geddes. Proud great-grandmother of Brittany, Makayla, Talyor, Ashley, Josh, Cailey, Aiden and Isabelle. Dear daughter-in-law of Linda and Judy. Predeceased by her siblings Jacques, Purkie and Rikia. Peacefully, after a short illness, at University Hospital in London on Saturday October 24. Isobel was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia, in 1921. A strong and beautiful woman, a devoted wife and mother, Isobel is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Donald E. Bruce. Isobel was introduced to Don by her best friend, his sister, Marjorie Bell (nee Bruce). Don and Isobel married in 1946 in Toronto and had 3 children, Joan Bruce (Ian), Susan McDougall and Bill Bruce (Mary Jane) all of whom loved her and will miss her immeasurably. Isobel is also survived by her loving grandchildren Laura (Steve) and Max Rubino, Martha McDougall (Marc), Matthew and Elora (Christopher) Moreau, many nieces and nephews, her brother-in-law Dr. Gordon Bell and her brother John Morrell (Agnes). Isobel was past president and a life member of the Women’s Christian Association as well as a valued volunteer in health services in London. We know Isobel has been joyously greeted in heaven by Marj, sisters Mac and Betty, son-in-law Sandy and so many others who knew and loved her.
