    With family by his side at Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday, December 26, 2009 H. Douglas Phillips in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Neil) Phillips (2004). Cherished father to Marguerite Smith and her husband Jeff of London. Loving grandfather to Andrea Marsh and her husband Jon of Missouri, Andrew Smith and his wife Amanda of London and Amanda Zylstra and her husband Sean of Elmira. Doug will be sadly missed by niece Jannet Smith, other extended family members and his close friends at Elmwood Place. Beloved husband of Mary (Harrower) Stevenson. Cherished father to Michael Stevenson and his wife Tracey of London, Linda Rowe and her husband David of Dutton and Gregory Stevenson and his wife Susan of London. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Adam and Christien Stevenson, Jacob and Thomas Rowe. Loving son to Vera Noseworthy of Milton. Predeceased by his sister Betty Moorse. Malpage (1994). Dear step-mother of Ralph Malpage, William Malpage and Douglas Malpage all of London. Loved sister of Kenneth Stapleton and wife Gail of St Thomas and Douglas Stapleton and wife Morag of London. Survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother Garrith “Gary” Stapleton, step-children Edward Malpage, Barbara English and Patricia Chalmers. Joan was a member of the Royal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 845 and the Royal Canadian Legion Victory Branch No. 317. Capp (1972). Loving mother of Barry Capp and wife Mary Ellen, Bob Capp and wife Joan, Dave Capp and wife Pearl all of London and Glori-Anne Phillips and her husband Ian of Calgary. Cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also loved by her nephews Joey Welch, Mike Kukuk and her nephews and nieces in Ottawa. Predeceased by her brothers Jack and Fred.     After a brief and courageous battle with cancer at University Hospital, London on Sunday, December 20, 2009 Dean Dickson Shavalier in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Cheryl Shavalier for 30 years. Loving father of Keri Manningham and her husband Joe of Hamilton, Drew Shavalier and his wife Linda of Hamilton and Dean Shavalier and his wife Sarah of Petawawa. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Kayln, Kyle, Kaleb, Dean, Devin, Ryan, Paige and Hayley. Also missed by his sister-in-law Karen Leeder and several extended family members. A native Londoner, Dean was active in broadcast journalism for many years in London and Southwestern Ontario.     MENNIE, Frances Elizabeth……Died peacefully in her sleep in her 87th year on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Horizon Place Residence, London. Predeceased in 1994 by her husband of nearly 50 years, John A. (Jack) Mennie. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Lin Tibensky (Mike), Peter Mennie (Milly Ann) and grandchildren, Mike Tibensky (Sherry Olan), Laura Hansen (Chris), Sarah Mennie, Graham Mennie and great-grandson Jackson Hansen, all of London. Born in Cobourg, Ontario, she was the eldest daughter of Curry Proctor Ralls and Marion Brown Hogg. She will be loved and remembered by her sisters, Jean Mark (Charles) of Port Hope, Shirley Parkinson (Herb) of Whitby and cousin Dr. G.E. (Ted) Mann (Joyce) of Bowmanville and their families. Fran loved tea in the afternoon and playing bridge. She was a longtime active member of I.O.D.E., Dr. David Crombie Chapter and was greatly admired by family and friends for her skill at needlework.
