Peacefully at Chelsey Park Long Term Care, London, on Wednesday, June 16, 2010, Kathleen (Galloway) Firth in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Alec Firth for 40 years. Adored mother of Stephen Firth and his wife Carole of Ottawa, Diane Baxter and her husband Ian of London and Nancy Singh of London. Loving grandmother of Sarah, Emma, Isaac, Megan, Kelly, Kaitlynn and Jared and her great-grandchild Suhvanna. Dear sister of Everell Law, Sheila Grisch and Neil Galloway (Peggy). FAIRBAIRN, Leslie David…..Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Sunday, June 13, 2010, Leslie David Fairbairn in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Doris Marion (Blackler) Fairbairn for 61 years. Cherished father of Dianne Walker and her husband Milton of London and Bruce Fairbairn and his wife Wanda Of Mission B.C. Proud grandfather of Ryan and Graham Walker (2003), Laura Walker-Howe and her husband Michael Howe of Windsor and Steven and Sara Fairbairn. Survived by his sister-in-law Betty Fairbairn of Kitchener and his brother Tom Fairbairn and his wife Elizabeth of Stratford. Predeceased by his brothers Leonard Fairbairn and his wife Ethel, Harry Fairbairn and his wife Ethel and James Fairbairn. Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Les was a decorated WWII Veteran, serving with the Perth Regiment, Stratford, Number 2 Mortar Platoon. He also received the Queen Elizabeth Jubilee Award for his many years of volunteer service. My dearest John passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, in his 59th year. Beloved husband and soul mate of Sharon (McClure) Calvert. Loving and cherished father of Noelle Martin and her husband Ross of London. Predeceased by his parents Nicolas and Mary Calvert. Dear brother of Sandy McFarlane and her husband Bruce. Loving uncle to Craig Carmichael and his wife Chay and their children Morgan and Ben and Joelle Carmichael and her husband Ian Reid. He will also be missed by special relatives on the McClure side and his many friends, golfing buddies and former Sun Life co-workers. John touched so many lives in extraordinary ways. He was an entrepreneur with amazing marketing and leadership skills. Words cannot describe the positive influence and impact John had on his family, friends and colleagues. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held next week. Predeceased by parents Ruby and Alfred Black and sister Grace Parsons (Al), sister-in-law Helen (Kirk) Thompson (Lysle) and brother-in-law James Hardy. Don was a successful dairy farmer in the Belmont area for many years. He was a member of St . Andrew’s Westminster United Church, Belmont Masonic Lodge No. 190 A.F & A.M. and the Scottish Rite. Peacefully surrounded by his family at University Hospital, London, on Thursday, May 27, 2010, J. W. Ross Caldwell of London in his 86th year. Cherished husband of Jacqueline (May) Caldwell. Loving father of Paul Caldwell and his wife Marilyn of Brantford and Stephen Caldwell of Vancouver. Proud grandfather of Haley and Wes. Dear brother-in-law of Herb and Bev Ballantyne. Also missed by his nephews and niece; Michael and Derek Scott, Jackie Campbell and Peter Ballantyne. Predeceased by his sister Doreen Scott and his nephew Peter Scott. Ross served in the Royal Canadian Navy, graduated from UWO in 1949, started his career as a C. A. at Clarkson Gordon, then moved to industry primarily in Brantford and Toronto, before finishing his career as a business consultant. He loved golf with his friends, camaraderie with the Lambs Club, winters in Sandestin, and will always be remembered for his quick wit, irreverent sense of humour and his light touch on the dance floor with his adored ‘Johnny’.
