BEAVON, Steven Kenneth…Suddenly in Belleville, ON on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, Steven Kenneth Beavon in his 54th year. Dear brother of Nigel Beavon and his wife Sheilagh of London. Also missed by his niece Bridget Wood and nephews Darcy Beavon and Matthew Wood. Predeceased by his beloved parents Kenneth and Doreen Beavon and his brother Alan. Steven will be sorely missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and very close friends. Gently gone to be with the Lord, on Sunday, June 19, 2011 Edward “Ed” Field in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Marion (Ellis) Field for 65 years. Loving father of Paul Field (Pattie), Ruth Whatmough (Graham), Maryhelen Buchanan (Tim), Naomi Pye (Albert), Martha Brown (Dan), Miriam Davidson (Norman) and Annajane Doak (Brian). Cherished grandfather of 24 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brothers Paul Dennis, Steve and Dave. Predeceased by his brothers George, Gerald, Don, and Doug and his granddaughter Susanna. Ed served in the Navy in WWII, he worked for Silverwoods Dairy for 35 years and drove a school bus for Delaware Central. Mercifully, God’s mysterious veil of peace has descended upon our mother, and released her from a frail and worn body. On Friday, June 17, in her 96th year, Evelyn May Suchard (nee Scarborough), departed this life leaving a strong legacy of faith, love and devotion. In the universal scheme of time, Evie’s long life is merely a flicker … yet is marked by steadfast loyalty to her beloved family, friends, and her life-long service to her church community. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Dalton; brother Leonard; brother Bob and his wife Marjorie; sister Margaret and her husband Hugh Mathieson; and daughter- in-law Mary. Evie leaves behind her devoted and loving son Gary; son Carl and wife Nancy; daughter Connie and husband Gene Murphy; her dear cousin and loyal friend Elsie Cole; and the joy of her life – grandchildren Kelly Richards, Graham Suchard and Julie Ridgewell, Kimberley and husband Fred Dennis; six wonderful great grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Daniel, Kyle, MacKenzie and Cameron; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. Beloved husband of Thelma (Andison) Pleiter. Dear father of Michael Pleiter of Calgary, Shelley Pleiter and her husband Carl Kovach of Kingston and Philip Pleiter of Carlton Place. Dear brother-in-law of Barbara Peper of St. Louis, Missouri. Also loved by his grandchildren Raeanne, Jessica, and daughter-in-law Lori of Ottawa. Predeceased by his brothers John and Simon and his sister-in-law Viola. Derk was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a PhD in physics, who served overseas in WWII as an RCAF pilot. He had a 30-year career with the Department of National Defence in Quebec City and Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. Peacefully at Aurora Resthaven, Aurora on Monday, June 13, 2011 Isabel (McIntosh) Bamforth just short of her 91st birthday that would have been celebrated on Thursday, June 16th. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd (‘Bam’), son Rae and sister Velma. Loved mother of Gerald of Vancouver, Jay (Julie) of Aurora and Julie (Ernest) Burden of Calgary and marvelous Nana to Jordan, Jenna and Jessa. Isabel was born in Lobo Township, spent her childhood in Ilderton and graduated from St. Joseph’s Hospital (London) School of Nursing in 1942. Isabel and Bam lived in London, Goderich, Hanover and Cambridge making long-lasting friendships along the way. Isabel was active in the Hospital Auxiliaries in all the communities she lived and made significant contributions to those organizations. Isabel was a passionate volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society for over two decades. She created the Reach to Recover Program and brought it to women throughout Ontario. In her later years with the CCS, she worked tirelessly to restructure the Ontario Division Regions and Units and always did her work with cancer patients on the top of her mind. In 1993 Isabel was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation by the Governor General, given to those persons who have made significant contributions to Canada, their community and their fellow Canadians. A graveside burial will be conducted at Woodland Cemetery, London on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
