    Peacefully in her sleep at Hillside Manor, Stratford, on Monday, December 5, 2011, Dorothy (Whorms) Jones in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Jones (1992) . Loving mother of Cathie Dews and her husband Dave of Ingersoll, Tessie Rivais and Kelly Pendergast all of London. Cherished grandma of Trina, Kris (Andrea) and Darral Vande Sompel, Randi and Ashlyn Rivais (Trevor), Elissa Pendergast (Josh), predeceased by her grandson Adrien Rivais. Great-grandma of Autumn, Christien, Catrina, and Samuel. Dear sister of Enith Figueroa (Lloyd), Jo Labelle (Andre), Marlene Nicholson (the late Fred), and Raymond Whorms (the late Vanessa). Predeceased by her siblings Ethlyn, Tessie, Lilia, Sister Mary Magdaline, Lloyd, Winston and Henry. Remembered by her sisters-in-law Lynch and Aldith. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9pm on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the A.   • William Gordon “Bill” Peaker

    PEAKER, William Gordon…… It is with tremendous sadness we announce the death of William, (Bill) Gordon Peaker, (born August 26, 1927) on Saturday, December 3, 2011. Bill left this world the way he lived with gentleness, dignity and little fanfare. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Lillian, as well as his brother and friend Ron and his wife Helen who were greatly missed in Lil and Bill’s day to day life. Bill’s greatest loss was that of his son, Randy, who died in 1995. Bill will be missed most by his wife of 61 years, Lil. They shared everyday. Bill’s daughter Kim, son-in-law Carl and their children Dawson, Chase and Taylor along with daughter-in-law Lucie and her children Emily and Max are also heartbroken. Their recent holiday time spent together with Lil and Bill will be a treasured memory. Bill’s sisters Joan and Gail and his brother-in-law Bill have shared love and support and are so saddened by Bill’s death. Lil’s sister Viv, her husband Eric and son Paul also share a love for Bill. Life long friends Pauline and Pat will miss Bill immensely. Bill was a member of St. John’s Masonic Lodge No. 20 A.F. & A.M. and Middlesex Kiwanis. He was a dedicated family man quietly supporting and modeling for his children, their spouses and grandchildren. His values, patience and quick wit will live on in those he loved. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Funeral service will be conducted at Wesley-Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Douglas H. Ross and Reverend David R. Carrothers officiating, followed by a reception, and interment in Woodland Cemetery, London.

    After a 3 year battle with cancer Joyce succumbed to the disease on Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Parkwood Hospital, London. She is survived by her dear husband Ken, her two stepchildren, Scott and Kimberly and four special grandsons, Skylar, Jordan, Matthew and Spencer. Joyce also survived by her brother Art and her sister-in-law Jean, her niece Patricia and nephew Arthur (Susan) and his family,her niece Jeannine (Harold) and their family and her niece Marie-Lise (Kieran) and their family. She is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Eileen. Joyce fought her disease bravely with the constant love and support of Ken, but also with the support of many good friends. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9pm, on Monday, November 28, 2011, and 12 noon – 1pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the A.
