CANDY, Gordon Arthur

At his residence on Friday February 10, 2012 Gordon A. Candy in his 66th year. Survived by his parents Beverley Smith (late Glen) and Gordon Candy Sr. (Sue). Dear father of Steven Candy and his wife Hyemin. Loved grandfather of Alana and Alexander. Remembered by Steven’s mother Sandra (Passmore) Candy. Dear brother of William Candy (Elizabeth), Douglas Candy (Karen), Lynn Timmins (Thomas) and Ruth Reynard. Also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, uncles and cousins. Gordon will be fondly remembered by the Han family in Korea. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm (1 hour prior) at the A. WHITMAN, Ardyth Anne (Stewart)…Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, Ardyth Whitman in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Dr. Clyde S. Whitman for 57 years. Dear mother of Karen Hoke of San Francisco, Reford Whitman and his wife Anne of Kelowna, BC and Scott Whitman of London. Loved grandmother of 6 grandchildren. Also survived by her daughter-in-law Dana Whitman. Predeceased by her son Dr. Stewart Whitman of Ottawa and her brother Sutherland Stewart (Heather). Ardyth was an R.N. and a graduate of the Montreal General Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1953. She was recognized for her expertise in interior design and a gracious host. She was an ardent bridge player and was known to be involved in eight bridge clubs over many years. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at St. Annes Anglican Church Cemetery. At the request of the deceased there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Beloved husband for 66 years of the late Catherine (McDonald) Corrigan (December 7, 2011). Loving father of Terry Corrigan (Helen) of Bracebridge, Colleen Smith (Ed) of London, Ed Corrigan (Wendy), and Teresa Corrigan-Holowitz (Steve) all of London. Predeceased by his son Pat Corrigan (1967). Ed Rozman, good friend of Leo and Catherine. Cherished grandfather of Christie, Lisa, Anne Marie, Michael, LeeAnne, and Adam and great-grandfather of Satya. Dear brother of Vince Corrigan (Pearl) and Helen Felker (Sam). Peacefully at Richmond Woods, London in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Nelles John England for 65 years. Loving mother of Sandra and her husband Rick Aldington, Graham England and his wife Linda and Jennifer and her husband Robert Brown. Cherished grandmother of Michelle (Andrew), Scott (Kalen), Lori, Jennifer, Mark, Craig, Derek (Lauren), Jessica and Graeme. Loved great-grandmother of Benjamin and Nadia. Predeceased by her sister Margaret and brothers Stewart, Edward, James, Ripley and Thomas. Ella served with the the Y.W.C.A. Auxiliary Services during World War II in Canada, St. John’s, Newfoundland and London, England. Known to all as “Mrs. E.” Ella was an enthusiastic golfer, curler and bridge player. Past President of the Ladies Section of Sunningdale and London Hunt and Country Clubs. The family will receive friends from 12 (noon) – 1pm on Monday, February 13, 2012 , at the A. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Monday, February 6, 2012 of Christopher Fulton in his 39th year. Loving husband of Teresa (Sommers) Fulton, together for 15 years. Will be missed and are waiting at the front door, by Maggie the Golden Doodle, Molly the Cockapoo, and Marley the cat, which made our family of five. Proud son of Margaret Dobson and her husband Noah of Victoria B.C. Predeceased by his father John Fulton. Beloved brother of Lesley Readings and the late Gig Reading (2008), Dave Fulton and his wife Charmain, all of London and Wendy Fulton and her partner James Verran of Galiano Island, B.C. Cherished son-in-law of Hank and Judy Sommers, greatly missed by his brother-in-law Marty Sommers and his wife Kelly of London. Dear uncle of Drew, Ben, Holly, Sydney, Brooke, Thomas, Quentin, and Olivia. Chris was an avid golfer, and had a healthy obsession with the Detroit Tigers. He was a self taught handyman always willing to help a stranger, friend or family member in need. But most importantly he was my partner in all things. The family would like to express their deepest sorrow for the other lives lost and our prayers are with the injured and all their families.
