    YARR, William “Bill”….

    Surrounded by family, after a brief illness at University Hospital, London on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, Bill Yarr of London in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Joyce (Smith) Yarr for 66 years. Proud father of Sally Zandri, Wendy Yarr, Penny Wilkins and Kelly Palmer. Father-in-law to Michael and Frank. Cherished Grandfather of Rob, Lindsay (Ian), Jessica, Michaila, Marcus and Jocelyn. As a young man, Bill worked hard to provide the best for his family. Even in his 30’s with a wife and 4 daughters, Bill attended McMaster University to pursue his passion – teaching. Between sailing the Great Lakes and wintering in Florida, he made many life-long friends. London became his home after many years in the Niagara Area. Card games, Bingo and football conversations kept Bill entertained for the last several years. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday, September 5, 2014 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The celebration of Bill’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 1 pm, with Reverend David R. Carrothers officiating.     Unexpectedly at Victoria hospital, Linda Dianne Tower in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Glenn Tower of London. Proud mother of Jason (Melissa) Tower and Carrie (Jeremy) Bujak of London. Loving grandma of the much anticipated Jacob Levi Tower. Beloved daughter-in-law of Dorothy Mason. Sister of Pat (Earl) Long, Rob (Janie) Mote, Jim (Cathy) Mote, Larry (Karen) Mote, Johnny (Sherry) Mote. Sister-in-law of Pauline Mote, Larry (Sandie) Tower, Ed Tower. Loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother and father Leroy and Verna Mote, brother Ken Mote and her sister Cheryl Donovan. Linda was a caring and loving mother who adored her grandson Jacob, immensely. Dedicated to her family and friends, Linda loved to crochet and could often be found playing Bingo.     Susan Margaret Getchell passed away suddenly on Friday August 29, 2014 at Victoria Hospital, London in her 65th year. Beloved wife of 43 years to Bryan Getchell, kickass mother of Leah, Diane and Hilary Getchell and adoring Nana to Jude and Katelyn. She will be deeply missed by her aunts, uncles and cousins both in Canada and in England as well by the close friends, colleagues and students she touched over her 40 years of librarianship and storytelling. The family will receive condolences on Saturday, September 6, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, 1246 Oxford Street West, London. The funeral mass will begin at 4:00pm. An informal celebration of life will follow at the family home, all are welcome and encouraged to drop by and share their favorite story of Susan between 6-10pm.
