Janet Axford
AXFORD, Janet….
Janet Axford (Gough) in her 74th year, on Saturday September 17, 2016 passed peacefully into the arms of her Saviour. Janet is survived by her soulmate and best friend, Edward, husband of 54 years. She will be so dearly missed by her three sons and special daughters (in-law), Dan (Christine), Randy (Jody) and Ron. Janet was an incredible Grandma who was and will continue to be a loving guiding force in the lives of her grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kayleigh, Amelia, Dominique, James and Samantha. Expectant Great -Grandmother to Cohen. Janet is eternally grateful to her siblings, Eugene Gough(Marion), Ron Gough (Bernice), Phyllis Grass(Bruce), her in-laws Terry Axford(Margaret) and Ruth Axford as well as her large extended family for their love and unending support on her journey. Janet and her family also wish to thank the medical teams and all the incredible staff at the London Cancer Clinic, Victoria Hospital and especially the angels at the St Joseph’s Hospice. In Janet’s own words, “how blessed I am to have lived this journey and had such incredible family and friends and co-workers.” She is now at rest with her Lord. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Westview Baptist Church, 1000 Wonderland Road South, London where the funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm. Johanna “Scholzie” Scholze
Johanna “Scholzie” Scholze….
On September 15, 2016 at Arbor Trace Special Care Center, London, Ontario Johanna “Scholzie” departed this world on the wings of angels. Born in Friedland, Germany, Johanna immigrated to Canada in 1956 to join her sister and family in Seaforth, Ontario. She became a Registered Nursing Assistant and lovingly cared for her patients at the old Victoria Hospital for many years. In 1981, she retired as a Cardiology Technician, having taken ECG measures of many a heart with her warm smile and gentle humour. Beloved sister of Gerda (Scholze) Uderstadt; predeceased by dear brother-in-law Henry Uderstadt (2006); dearest Tante Hanni to Christel and Bob Morton, Gerd and Ketty Uderstadt, Axel Uderstadt and Helen Scott, as well as to seven grand-nieces and nephews and their families, including 12 great-grand nephews. Johanna was a friend and helpmate to many. She is fondly remembered as a loyal, compassionate and courageous woman with an adventurous spirit and a generous heart. We love her and miss her. We will honour her memory by doing a Random Act of Kindness whenever we can, thus following her excellent example. We are most thankful to everyone at Arbor Trace where our aunt received outstanding care and support and where she was honored with a birthday party when she reached her goal of making it to 100. Visitation will be held from 12pm-1pm at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 where the funeral service will be at 1pm. Pam passed away with family at her side, at University Hospital, on Monday September 12, 2016 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Charlie. Loving mother of Susan (Brian) Green and Beverley (Graham) Bowerman. Cherished Granny Pam of Vicky (Ian) and Kelly (Tavis), and great grandmother of Millie, Simon, Gabe and Julia. Ilene Hambly passed away peacefully at home on Saturday September 3, 2016, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late William R. Hambly (1995) and loving mother of Bruce (Vicki) Hambly of London, Cheryl Hambly of Cambridge and Darlene (Bruce) Langford of Mossley. Also loved by her grandchildren Derrick Hambly (Naomi), Nick Hambly (Jenn), Dana Hambly and Ben Langford. Ilene is survived by her brother Glenn Damude, sister-in-law June Krueger, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters, Ruth, Evelyn, Verna, Velda and her brothers Ken and Earl. On Thursday September 1, 2016, Marilyn passed away peacefully in her sleep, with family at her side, at Extendicare in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald (2001) and beloved companion Bob Bendall (2012). Loving mother of Kelly (John) Overland, Stephen (Angela) Cribar and honorary step-daughter Sheri Paoletti. Cherished grandmother of Tyler, Jackson and Stella. She will be missed by her siblings Robert (Norma) Ward and Ken (Mary Lou) Ward , and sister-in-law Joan (John) Barrett and her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her niece Catherine, brother-in-law Reverend Craig Cribar and his wife Marlene. Friends will be received by the family at A. McCLEAN, Mervyn…. Peacefully at University Hospital with his wife, children, brothers, sisters and friends by his side, on Friday, August 26, 2016, Mervyn “Mac” Ignatius McClean in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Carol Ann McClean (nee Seales) for 49 years. Loving father of Michelle and Jeremie “Jay” . Cherished Papa of TaliaRose. Dear brother of Iva & Wilfred (Canada), Russell, Deborah, Clivia (USA), Janice and Kenneth (Trinidad & Tobago). Predeceased by his parents Alfred McClean & Olive Agata McClean (nee Knights). He’s an uncle, cousin, god-father, brother-in-law to the respective spouses and last but not least, is a dear dear friend to Lucille, Narine, Derrick and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Goodge. Respecting all religions throughout his lifetime; Mac gave his life over to Jesus. He was a true believer and felt that as long as you do good deeds and are a good person you will be blessed. Mac also believed that education in all forms leads us to a better understanding of the universe. After leaving Trinidad, Mac attended Oxford University for his undergrad, then University of Western Ontario for post-graduate degrees, worked as an engineer for CN Rail out of Sarnia, taught math at Beal Secondary School then found his career home working for the City of London-Dearness Home focusing on geriatrics and of course his passion, union leader. The family would like to thank London Health Sciences Centre-MSICU unit staff with a special mention to Cathy Mawdsley, Clinical Nurse Specialist for helping Mac participate in his sons wedding on August 6th and Daniella Betteto, RN for taking care of our family during his last moments before entering into his next life. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Suddenly at home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, Frank Dyson in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Gwen (Harvey) Dyson (2005). Loving and proud father of Dave Dyson (Kim). Cherished Papa of Dylan. Dear brother of Eric Dyson (Dorothy). Predeceased by his son Ian Dyson. Frank had a wonderful working relationship with Sunningdale Golf & Country Club and the Thompson family for over 30 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
