Grace May Miller
MILLER, Grace May… After a brief illness following her 100th birthday, Grace May Miller passed away at Elmwood Place, London on Friday, December 2, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Percy H. Miller. Cherished mother of Maureen Tipping and her husband Thomas of London and Catherine Miller of London. Also loved by her grandchildren Michael (Danika) and Brian Tipping (Rebecca) and her great-grandchildren Keira, Madison, Jacob, Leif and Freja Tipping. Dear sister-in-law of Dorothy MacFadyen of Winnipeg. Dearly missed by Jen Esplin of Toronto. Predeceased by her son David K. Miller, grandson Stephen Tipping and brothers Paul and Lynn MacFadyen. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and raised in Zealandia, Grace arrived in London with her husband Percy in September 1944. Grace was actively involved in many organizations within Metropolitan United Church, including the Senior Choir, the U.C.W. and the Board of Stewards. Friends will be received by the family from 9:30 to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Metropolitan United Church, 468 Wellington Street, London N6A 3P8, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am. GRIFFITH, Isabelle Marie (nee Oakley) … Passed away peacefully at Henley Place, London, with family at her side on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Murray Griffith. Loving mother of Mary Lou (Jim) Pallant, Nancy (Ted) Molyneaux, Kathie (Tom) McCarthy, David (Doreen) Griffith. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sister Mae Sutton. Friends will be received by the family at A. Beloved husband of the late Rose Anglin for 58 years. Loving father of Debbie Manyari and husband Dante Manyari of Surrey, B.C., Brenda Callahan and husband Tom of Key West FL, Teresa Anglin of London, Bill Anglin and his wife Chris of Courtenay, B.C and Mike Anglin and his wife Yolanda of Barrie. Cherished grandfather of Laura, Stephanie, Liam, and Katie and great-grandfather of Chase. Dear brother of the late Patricia Anglin of London and the late Loretta (Tom) Comiskey. Much loved father of Hector Cheng, Anita Cheng, Bobby Cheng (Linda), Angela Law (Joseph), Virna Yuen (Raymond), Kelvin Cheng (Susie), Candice Herold (Rob). Proud grandfather of Judy, Hokit (Julianna), Fizzy (Jennifer), Jacky, Cedrin, Bill (Ruby), Wendy, Gary, Sara (David), Loudon, Winston, Geneva and great -grandfather of Savey, Xavier, Sawyer, Trinity, Hunter and Raleigh. WANAMAKER, Linda Louise… Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, November 14, 2016, passed away in her 67th year. Beloved daughter of Katherine Wanamaker, and the late Richard Wanamaker (2004). Dear sister of Stephen and his wife Karen Wanamaker. Beloved aunt of Damon and his wife Vincie, and great aunt to infant Nate. Remembered fondly by cousins Charles, Carol Ann, Judy, & Richard. Very dear friend for almost 50 years of Maidy and Bob Keir, and special “aunt” to their children Welby, Colleen, and Shelly. Sadly missed by Weslee & his family. Also missed by her very special close friends Sandie & Jeannie “Mom”, and the many acquaintances she has made over the years at Canada Post, at Hickory Ridge Golf & C. C., and at various Huff n Puff activities and events. Following her 37 years with Canada Post, Linda enjoyed golf & bowling, the theatre, travel & several cruises with friends. She was a staunch supporter of the Blue Jays & Knights, and attended many games each season. A special thanks goes to the nurses and doctors at both University and Victoria Hospital who provided such devoted care & compassion. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment following cremation in the family plot in Hampton Rural Cemetary, Hampton, N.B. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at Hickory Ridge Golf & C.C., 3425 Woodhull Road, London, from 2 – 4 pm on Sunday, December 4. Beloved wife of John Douglas Elliot for 59 years. Dear mother of Kim Poser (Mike) and Karen Dutton (Dennis Shackelton). Cherished grandma of Lizzie and Abbey Poser. Sister of Judy Murray. Predeceased by her parents James Melvin and Marjorie Isabel Wilson (Dench). Missed by her niece and nephews. Bernie was a long-time member of Chalmers Presbyterian Church and the William Melville Spencer Chapter, IODE. Also she was very active in the Coventry Walk and RCR communities.
