Peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Frederick A. McCulloch (1984). Cherished mother of Earl McCulloch and wife Wendy of Victoria, B.C. and Maureen Murphy and husband Rick of London. Loved grandmother of Ryan McCulloch and Keith McCulloch of Victoria B.C and great grandmother of Destiny, Darianna, Demyllia and Dela. Dear sister of Nellie Kostoff. MCCLENAGHAN, Martha….
McClenaghan, Martha Arlene (nee Munro) – Of London, Ontario, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 4th, 2018, in her 75th year. Sadly missed by Thom, her husband of 53 years. Dearly loved mother of David, Erin (Warren Helland), Kate (Tom Rigglesworth) and Andrew (Roxanne Regier). Cherished grandmother of Thomas, Samuel, Evelyn, Jacob, Elizabeth, Ruby, Anna, Isla and George. Dear sister of Sue Birse (Jim) and Steve Munro. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends across Canada, the United States and around the world. She will be greatly missed and always loved.
Martha was born in London to the late Sam and Cora Munro. She was a graduate of Central Secondary School and Western University. She was a Kindergarten teacher for many years with the Board of Education for the City of London and 3 Wing RCAF Primary School, Zweibrucken, West Germany. She was an accomplished athlete in her younger days excelling in high jumping and volleyball. She loved her dogs, gardening, reading, hosting many great parties, sunning herself at the beach, and had many fond memories of her childhood at Long Point during the summer holidays with her siblings.
Martha was a world traveller. She walked the trail from Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg with three small children in tow, ate lunch on the summit of the Jungfrau, rode a camel on her way to see the Sphinx, drove a lap on the Nürburgring in a Porsche, and listened to the BBC news of the moon landing in a campground in Bucharest.
Martha was devoted to the care and service of others. She was an active member of the Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church community and volunteered for many years with the London Health Sciences Centre Service League.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sugimoto, his team and the 5th-floor nursing staff for her initial care. As well, Dr. Hamilton, Dr. Stack, Sherry Vergilio RN, Laurie Mitchell and the fine staff with the VON palliative team for making her final days comfortable. We would also like to thank Dr. Andrew Fullerton and the many friends and neighbours whose visits, cards, food, treats and flowers were greatly appreciated.
A celebration of Martha’s life will take place at Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, 111 Elmwood Avenue East, London, ON N6C 1J4 on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church, or to the London Regional Cancer Program, 747 Baseline Road East, London, ON N6A 5W9.

GASCHO, Lucille Evelyne ….
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother Lucille Evelyne Gascho, peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital on Sunday, June 3, 2018 in her 93rd year. She now joins her parents, her sister and brother, our dear father Ross Gascho and our unforgettable brother Brian Gascho. She will be greatly missed by her cherished daughter Karen Gascho of London, her much loved son Wayne Gascho (Fay) of Ingersoll and all of her extended family. She will also be very much missed by her special niece Marolyn Corriere (her second daughter) of Lewiston, NY, whose love and kindness toward our mother throughout life, will never be forgotten. Our mother will also be remembered and missed by her many friends at Kirby Manor whose caring and concern during her brief illness has been so appreciated. Her ladies lunch group, the Opals, will not be the same without her and we thank them for all of their love. Our thanks to the palliative team and LHSC – Victoria Hospital for their compassionate care and for helping our mother transition on to her next life with dignity. A special thank you and appreciation to Father Fred Howard-Smith who assisted our mother in her last rights and final prayers, providing her with great peace in her last hours. In keeping with our mother’s generous spirit, it was her wish that her body be donated to the University of Western Ontario, Body Donation Program so that others could benefit from learning from her. Cremation and a celebration of her life to be held at a later date. To all those who knew and loved our mother, we hope that you will honour her memory by extending an act of kindness at every opportunity and by living life with an open, loving, generous heart just like she did. On Saturday, June 2, 2018, Derek Ireland passed in his 93rd year at University Hospital, London. Beloved husband of the late Anne Ireland (2007). Loving father of Jennifer Jane Ireland and her husband Roy Santin of Toronto. Dear brother-in-law of Gwen Ireland of Australia and Margaret Kaye of England. Derek will also be missed by his several nieces and nephews of Australia and England and by his loving neighbours of the circle, including Marie, Larry, Shannon and Kyle, Cheryl and Chris, Norma and Phil, Val and Joe, and Pat and his many friends at St. Anne’s. Predeceased by his sister Eunice Warren (1983) and his brother Eddie Ireland (2012). Cremation has taken place.
