GROOM: At Chelsey Park Nursing Home, London on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2005 Robert J. (Bob) Groom of London in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Alice P. (Mackey) Groom. Dear father of John Groom and Kim and Katy Groom of London; Jim Groom and Glenda of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Mary McNain of Bowden, Alberta. Also loved by his 6 grandchildren and his 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Great-grandfather of Kylie George of Arkona. Brother of Dean and his wife Pat Knapp of Victoria, B.C. A caring, sensitive teacher at Kapuskasing, Hanover and principal at North Middlesex in Parkhill and Lord Dorchester in Dorchester and former mayer of Parkhill. Lawrence (Larry) Almer Sherritt. January 2, 1922 – February 26, 2005. The family would like to honour the passing of Larry in his 83rd year at Guelph General Hospital after a recent mishap and illness. Larry proudly served Canada in WWII as a member of the 7th Field Regiment R.C.A. from 1939-1945. Upon returning from service overseas he completed a 40 year career with Labatt Breweries, London, On. He was a loving father and husband, giving strength to those around him. He touched many with his smile, the twinkle in his eye, his kind words and gentle ways. Survived by his beloved wife Helen Louise at Riverside Glen Nursing Home in Guelph. Survived by Robert of Erin, On. and William and his wife Janet of Cambridge, On. , Grandchildren Erin, Allison, Josh, Meagan, Melanie, Todd, Jaimie, Katie, Great Grandchildren Owen and Abby as well as his sisters June and Mary. GUEST: Mrs. Gerree (Groombridge) Guest of London died peacefully at home in her 79th year on Thursday, February 24th, 2005. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. James A. Guest, dear mother of Julie Stiles and her husband Jamie, and Scott Guest and his wife Melanie of London; and Lorie Guest of Waterloo and also loved by her grandchildren Jay and Scott Stiles, Andrea, Jim and Gillian Guest. She was predeceased by her two brothers Graydon and Warren Groombridge. She was the dear sister-in-law of JoAn Groombridge of Sarnia. Cremation has taken place.
