BALLANTINE — Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Hospital, on Friday January 6th 2006, Earl Edwin Ballantine of London in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Joyce (Shields) Ballantine. Dear father of Carole Brown and her husband Bob of St. Thomas and Graham Ballantine and his wife Jane of Unionville. Also loved by his 5 grandchildren Shelley (Wayne), Susan (Al), Brian (Donna), Angela and Amy. Dear great-grandfather of Jacob, Erin, Hannah and Zackary. Earl was a proud veteran who served in World War II from 1940-45, and also was a member of Union Lodge No. 380 A.F. & A.M. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. ROY —- Passed on peacefully surrounded by his family at Chateau Gardens, London, on Thursday January 5th 2006, John Roy of London in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Margaret (Shields) Roy. Dear father of Mary Anne Greenbeck and her husband Russell, Susan Roy and her husband Jay Rankin, Jane Roy and her husband Glen Pearson, and Jennifer Bellmore and her husband Bill. Dear brother of Margaret MacDonald of Blackpool, England (and late husband Jimmy) and predeceased by his brother David Roy (and his wife Jeanne). Also loved by his grandchildren Jim, John, Jonah, Sam, Nicole, Abuk, Max and Madeline and his step-grandchildren Kathy, Kristy, Jordan and Kim. Greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. John graduated in Civil Engineering at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland, and worked for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation for over 30 years. Honorary Member of Stormont Lodge No. 1524 A.F. & A.M. Scone, Scotland (1961), and Past Warden of St. George’s Anglican Church, London. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. HAYTON — It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marjorie Hilda Hayton {nee Taylor} on January 1st 2006, age 84, beloved wife of the late Lloyd {Bud} Hayton. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Christine Stewart of Brechin, Scotland; her son Ross (Roseann) Ramsay of Red Deer, Alberta; her three grandsons Neil (Australia), Scott and Craig (Red Deer); her sisters, Joan Dowden of Brantford and Dorine Davidson of Courtenay B.C., along with numerous relatives and friends. Marjorie was predeceased by both parents, Edith and Walter Taylor. Funeral Services in Celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held at A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Saturday, January 21 at 10:00 am. KLOJGAARD: At London Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, December 31st, 2005 Mrs. Mary (Kidd) Klojgaard of London in her 94th year. Mrs. Klojgaard immigrated to Canada from Scotland in 1930 and was proudly employed as the parlour maid at Eldon House for several years and served as consultant on many restoration projects at Eldon House. Also, she was the last person to have lived at Eldon House. Beloved wife of the late Holger Klojgaard. Dear mother of Richard of London and Nancy Latas and her husband Ron of Phoenix, Arizona. Also loved by her grandchildren Robert Marley and his wife Margie and Dr. Scott Marley and his wife Tennille all of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her great-grand-daughter Allison and her nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her constant companion Scout. Predeceased by her sisters Bess Goss, Annie Kidd and her brothers Reverend John B. Kidd and Ronnie Kidd.
