DAMBENIEKS — Peacefully at her residence in London on Friday February 10th 2006, Mirdza (Filka) Dambenieks in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Rudolfs Dambenieks (1979). Dear mother of Ivan of London, Andrejs and his wife Laila of Ottawa, and Anita Gaebel and her husband Randy of Kelowna B.C. Also loved by her 6 grandchildren Andrew, Peter, Brian, Krista, Diana and Michael. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 P.M. Monday at the A. Loving grandfather of Krisha Bailie and her husband Allan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Justin Tessier of London. Zbigniew was a member of the 7th Polish Horse Artillery Regiment commanded by General Anders during the Second World War where he fought at Tobruk and Monte Casino.
