At London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital on Friday, June 30th, 2006 Edwin H. Higgins of London in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Flora (Chisholm) Higgins. Dear father of Peter Higgins and his wife Carol of Cambridge; Nina Leitch and her husband Ted of London; Margaret Moore and her husband Ted of Dorchester; Andrew Higgins of British Columbia; Roger Higgins of London; James Higgins and his wife Fran of Dryden; Laurene Fleming and her husband John of Calgary; Jennifer Shevchenko and her husband Terry of London; Jeffrey Higgins and his wife Sherry Lynn of London and Sally Jibb and her husband Philip of New Sarum. Predeceased by his twin brother Gordon. Also loved by his 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Ed was an employee of London Life Insurance Company for 44 years. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Mount Hope and Natasha for their wonderful care of Ed. Friends will be received by the family from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9pm on Sunday at the A. Dear father of Barrie A. Woodley and his wife Janis of London and predeceased by his son Frederick J. Woodley. Survived also by his daughter-in-law Margaret of London. Also loved by his 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Gertrude (Larcher) Nielson of London widow of Hans peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2006 at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria with family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer in her 80th year. Cherished and devoted mother to Madeleine (Art) Lair, Norman (Juliana) and Rita. She will be remembered by her grandchildren Roger (Alison) Lair, Sherry-Lynn (Phil) Freeman, William (Kristie) Jolliffe, Katherine (David) Adams, Christopher, Lance and Scott. Known as GG to great grandchildren Siniece, Siara, Brock, Seth, Philip, Damian, William, and Zoe. She is also remembered by her siblings Alertine, Lucille, Gilberte, Bernadette and Rheo. The Nielson family will receive friends on Monday from 7-9pm and one hour prior to the service which will be conducted in the chapel at the A. COOPER — Peacefully at Grand Wood Park Retirement Residence, London, on Friday June 23rd 2006, Dorothy M. A. Cooper of London passed away just short of her 90th birthday. Lovingly remembered by her honourary nieces and nephews Lynn Lee and her husband Ron of Ilderton, Mark Farrow and his wife Lillian and Paul Farrow and his wife Louise all of London and their families, Kathleen Smith of Kelowna, Marilyn Walker and her husband John of Sarnia, Lila Kelly and her husband Brian of Ottawa and their families, and honourary grandmother of their children. Also survived by her Godchild Susan Denisovs and Susan’s father Ross Chamberlain, her cousin Margaret Hay of England, as well as her many loyal and good friends. Also loved by her grandchildren Carrie Cleghorn (Ian), Kristopher Plotzke (Michelle), Kyle Blair and Brett Blair. Loving sister of Reverend Norman Watson (Yvonne). Predeceased by her brother Reverend Arthur Watson. Dear sister-in-law of Grant and Margaret Blair, Terry Blair, Ivy Watson, Bill and Margaret Beck. Dear step-mother of Michael, Jeffrey (Heather), Topher (Kim) and Susan Beck and their children. Predeceased by her step-son Brian. Loved by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Survived by his brother Roy Cunningham and his wife Gladys of Clandeboye. Predeceased by his brother Elmer Cunningham.
