    Helen Marion Swift (Pearson). Died peacefully at her residence, on July 27, 2007, in her 84th year surrounded by her family. Helen was born in Grey Township on May 24 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Pearson. Beloved wife for over 60 years of Donald Swift. Dear mother of Linda (John Callaghan) of London, Janice (Douglas Scott) of London and Douglas (Elizabeth) of Oakville. Much loved grandmother of Timothy Scott (Stephanie), Sarah Scott (Todd Richie), Patrick and Geoffrey Callaghan, Matthew Scott and Carey and Kaitlyn Swift. Dear great-grandmother of Dylan and Adam Scott and Teaghan Richie. Loving sister of Jean Elliott (Bert) and the late George Pearson (Isobel). Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Helen was an active member of the Kinette Clubs of Listowel and of Brampton and a long-time member of the London Hunt & Country Club and the Prestancia Golf and Country Club in Sarasota, Florida. She enjoyed golfing at both for many years and was a Ladies’ Nine-Hole Champion at Prestancia. Helen will be remembered for her quiet grace, warm smile and kindness to all and especially for her devotion to her family. The family will receive friends at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Tuesday, July 31st from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at the Funeral Home on Wednesday August 1st at 12 noon. Cremation to take place. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Helen are asked to consider a donation to My Sister’s Place 546 King Street, London Ontario, N6B 1T5. The family would like to thank Anita Stenning for her sincere kindness and gentle care of Helen during the last weeks of her life.
