John Cooper
COOPER
At London Health Sciences Center – Victoria Hospital on Saturday, January 5, 2008, John Cooper of London in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Judith (Stevens) Cooper for 51 years. Proud father of Brian and his wife Margaret of London, Sally and her husband Chris of Gold River B. C. and Ian and his wife Karen of Ayr. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Emily and Ben. John was born on December 9, 1931 in London England, the only son of James and Norah (Harrison) Cooper. He was educated at Latimer Public School in London, England and worked as an accountant for the Hyde group of companies before coming to Canada in 1965. Here in Canada he worked for Canada Trust as an internal auditor and then for Joe McManus at CJOE Radio as the accountant. In 1978 he went to work for the province in the Ministry of Revenue and then at the Ministry of Labour as an employment standards officer. He retired from the civil service in 1994. Throughout his life he enjoyed many hobbies such as cycling, gardening and Scottish Country Dancing. He has fought the good fight and will be sadly missed by his family and friends here and in England. Arrangements entrusted to A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 397 Springbank Drive, London with Reverend Canon K. Sam Thomas officiating. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the St. Michael and All Angels Memorial Fund or the Alzheimer Society of London & Middlesex would be appreciated. At Parkwood Hospital on Saturday, January 5, 2008 Emerson (Em) Richardson of London in his 88 th year. Beloved husband of Isabelle (Johnstone) Richardson. Dear father of Ron Richardson and his wife Marie of London and Jerry Richardson of Wingham. Much loved grandpa of Rebecca, Robert, Aaron, Gerry, Jason and Danielle and eight great-grandchildren. Also survived by his several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Norm Richardson, Warren Richardson, Donald Richardson, Gertrude Carroll, Violet Johnstone and daughter in law Sharon Richardson. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2008 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Douglas R. G. At London Health Sciences Center – University Hospital on Friday, January 4, 2008, William J. (Bill) Harris of London in his 89 th year. Beloved husband of Wanda Catherine (Ferguson) Harris for 64 years. Dear father of Paul Harris and his wife Bunny of London. Loving grandfather of Greg and his wife Anissa Harris of Toronto, James and his wife Melanie Harris of Neuchatel, Switzerland and Lori Harris and her partner Brad McEachnie of London. Brother of Huff Harris and his wife Shirley of Kincardine. Predeceased by his sister Adeline Ladd of Palmerston. Sadly missed by many friends and extended family.
