GOVER. Ernest Russell…..Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, August 20, 2010, Ernest Russell Gover in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Gladys Joan (Hodgson) Gover. Cherished father of Stephen Gover and his wife Sandra of London, Ann Child and her husband Mark of Maidstone and Carol O’Brien and her husband Don of London and his daughter-in-law Luci St. Pierre. Devoted grandfather to 13 grandsons and 5 granddaughters and 4 great-granddaughters. Loving brother to his sister Marjorie and sister-in-law Dora. Predeceased by his son David and his brother Robert Gover. Will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews and friends and neighbours. A special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital and also to the V.O.N. Cremation has taken place. MCCLURE, Fredrick S……Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London on Monday, August 16, 2010, Fredrick S. McClure in his 87th year. Loving husband of the late Edith (nee Horton) and much-loved father of Sandy and her husband Brian and Stan and his wife Janet. Loving brother to Lt. Col. John (Lucille) and sister Dorothy. Dear brother-in-law of Gladys Wood (Jack). Predeceased by his sister Florence Swinden (Fred), brothers Frank (Kay), Clare (Jenny) and Herb McClure (Geraldine). Born in Toronto, Ontario, Fred and his family moved to London when he was still in public school, and attended South Collegiate and H.B. Beal Technical School. He served with His Majesty’s Armed Forces overseas from 1943-46, leaving the service with the rank of Sargeant. In April of 1946, he began a career in retail with the Robert Simpson Company, starting as as salesman, and was quickly promoted to manager and buyer for several different departments over a span of 37 years. After retirement in 1984, Fred was an active member with the London Kiwanis Club into the new century. He also volunteered on the board of SARI, as well he offered his volunteer services at Victoria Hospital. One of his greatest passions was gardening, and Fred created many beautiful gardens over the years, and loved living in the country with his family, dogs, cats and horses. Friends will be received by the family from 9:00 – 10:00 am on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at 10:00 am. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. Dear mother of Tom (Tommy) Hazeltine and Mary Jane Venus and her husband Ken all of London. Dearly loved grandmother of Bryan and James. Dear sister-in-law of Jean Saunders and Peg Deschenes (Mike). Also survived by nieces Barbara Axford (Dale), Nancy Brabandt, Jackie Van Weichen (Mike), Carol Deschenes, Janet Jesson (Craig) and nephew John Saunders (Karen). Predeceased by her brother Ross Saunders, niece Pat Gordon and nephew James Saunders. Cremation has taken place. Passed away peacefully in her 95th year, with family by her side, on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Victoria Hospital, London. Dearly beloved wife of the late G. Stewart Nash. Dear mother of Susan Nunez (Orlando). Predeceased by her brother Clifford Crozier and her sister Lorena Crozier. Survived by her brother Colin Crozier (Ferne) of Ancaster. Also loved by her grandchildren Jamie McGhee, Kristen Watters (Kyle) all of London and Andrew McGhee of British Columbia and her great-grandchildren, Jayden McGhee-Rose and Kayla Watters. Cherished aunt of Joanne Bushell (George) of Ottawa, Doug Crozier of Toronto, Brian Crozier (Regi) of Hamilton and Bill Crozier (Sandra) of Kelowna. Frances was born in Ashfield Township, Huron County, on a farm near Dungannon, daughter of William P. Corzier and Lurenia Campbell Crozier. She was very proud of her involvement as a lifetime member of the United Church Women of Wesley-Knox United Church and her enduring love of her sisters in PEO.
