Peacefully at University Hospital on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, D’Arcy Dutton in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Annette (Gerencser-Malott) Dutton. Dear father of Tasha Hughes (by marriage) and her husband Gord of London, Darell Dutton and his wife Deborah of Waterloo, Derek Dutton of Abbotsford, B.C. and Deborah James of Guelph. Dear brother of Padraic Dutton and his wife Mary of Edmonton, Alberta and Kristin Beaumont and her husband Robin of New Brunswick. Dear grandfather of Rowan, Connor and Aidan Hughes, Jason and his wife Allison, Daniel and his wife Amy and Davis Dutton and also loved by his great-grandchildren Noah and Carter Dutton. Dear brother-in-law of Virginia Gerencser. Much loved uncle of David and Gwen Gerencser, Rob Gerencser, Jane Gerencser, Nick, Adam, Ashley, Laura Gerencser, Sherry and Sandra. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Elliot and Mrs. Julia (Greenwood) Dutton and by his brother-in-law George Gerencser (2008). D’Arcy’s wife Annette wishes to express genuine gratitude to Dr. John E. Swift, D’Arcy’s palliative care doctor, whose dedication, compassion and respectful caring provided to D’Arcy at home, exceeded any possible expectation. Also, a warm thank you to Dr. Cyrus Hsia, Hematologist at London Regional Cancer Program, Victoria Hospital, Dr. David Boyd, Urgent Internal Medicine, Victoria Hospital, and to all of the very caring nurses at the Cancer Clinic for the multitude of appointments D’Arcy had endured for lab work, treatments and transfusions; to Dr. J. Armstrong, dental surgeon and staff, University Hospital, and to D’Arcy’s dentist Dr. Mark Smith and staff. All of these professionals have availed themselves for D’Arcy’s many needs. Thank you so kindly to CCAC and all of the nurses caring for D’Arcy at home, and to the volunteers, Hospice of London. Sincere appreciation is extended to D’Arcy’s former family physician Dr. C. P. Potter and staff for 30 years of excellent medical care until closing practice. Cremation has taken place. Loving mother of Greg Schramek and his wife Donna of North Carolina, Doreen Trevor and her husband George of London and Kevin Schramek of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Haroldeen, Barbara and Jack. Predeceased by her brother Gerry. She will be missed by her dog Hunter. Beloved wife of the late Hank Hessel (1966). Cherished mother of Gerry Black and her husband Doug of Glencoe, Gerry Hessel and his wife Judy, Anna Hessel, Roza Hessel, Roy Hessel and his wife Diane, Monica Brush and her husband Dale, Ben Hessel and his wife Cathy all of London. Predeceased by her son Peter (1982), Harry (2008) and daughter-in-law Wendy (1989). Loving Oma of 26 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Dear mother in-law of Mary Hessel. Loving father of Chris Fulford and his wife Laura of London, David Fulford of London and Gillian Fulford and her partner Jerry Young of Walkerton. Devoted grampa of Brian and Kiah Fulford. Dear brother of Evelyn MacCready and Jim Fulford. Predeceased by his brother Warren Fulford and his sister Mardi McKinnon. Art was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and served in WWII with The Royal Winnipeg Rifles. He married Sybil in 1946 and they settled in London. Art attended The University of Western Ontario and enjoyed a fulfilling career as a Professor of Physics at UWO. A private family service will be held. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. Cherished grandmother of Kristen, Christopher, Scott, Geoffrey, Rob, Paul and Nicholas and great-grandmother of Emily, Cole, Sam and Lauren. Predeceased by her twin sister Jean, her sisters Elsie and Emily and her brother James. Isobel was well known for her participation at Masonville Manor and enjoyed many social activities.
