Peacefully after a long illness, with family by her side, Ruby Elzabeth (Fyfe) George in her 88th year, of Paisley Block Guelph Township. Beloved wife of the late Dr. John A. George, Professor Emeritus U.W.O. Loving mother of David (Maureen) George of Richmond, ON, Kathryn (Robert) Marion of Heidelberg, ON and Lois (Cameron) Denomme of London, ON. Cherished grandmother of Chloe, Carly, Brooks, Richard, Ruby, Elise, Marlene, Jillian and Ivan. Proud great-grandmother of Alayna and Kylie. Predeceased by her parents George and Violet (Millson) Fyfe and her only sister Helen and husband John D. Moore of Cambridge, ON. Graduate 1949 Ontario College of Pharmacy. She was proud to have practised her profession in Guelph, St. Catherines, London and Strathroy. She was a lifetime member of the U.C.W. and a member of Wesley-Knox United Church, London. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will be conducted at Wesley-Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London, on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 11am. Peacefully at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia on Saturday, June 15, 2013, Ellen Helen Nellie (McFarquhar) Gee, formerly of London in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Eric Gee (2007). Predeceased by her daughter Vicki Foster, her parents Ellen and James, and her brothers Jim, George and Jack. Dear aunt of Blake and Audrey Hughes and longtime friends of Doreen and Henry Kohn and their families. She will be missed by many close friends in the London area, and the many friends from the Ford retirees. She enjoyed the many visits from all that came to see her. Proud grandmother of Nick, Brad, Mike, Jennifer, Andrea, Chris, Ashley, Nicole, Sarah, Neil, Matthew, Danielle, and Sandy and great grandmother of Madilyn, Braxton, Taylor and Lily. Born August 21, 1926 in Germany, formerly of Harriston, Ontario. She slipped away in the early hours of June 13, 2013 to be reunited with her husband Michael. Loving mother of Helga Alcorn (Hans), Michael Iwanyk, Peter Iwanyk (Ginette) and Marion Iwanyk (Jane). Cherished grandmother of Kristine McCarty (Glenn), Cheri Schembri (Reno), Michael and Brendan Iwanyk and Michael Iwanyk Jr. Dear great-grandmother of Matthew and Tanner McCarty. Cremation has taken place. At the request of Gertie and family there will be no service. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Loving father of Janet (Mike), Christine (Gwynne), Yvonne (Ahmed), and Janice (Brad). Cherished grandfather of 11 grandchildren. Dear great-grandfather of 13 great-granchildren. Dear brother of Pat and Frances. Predeceased by his brothers Reg and Stan. John was a veteran of WWII, and a well respected teacher at Fanshawe College and member of his profession. Dear step-father of Michael Rowland (Claire) and Lori Hisson (Bob) and their families. Cherished grandpa of Mark Farrow (Lainey), Tim Farrow (JoAnn), Rob Irving (Tracey), Marianne Petovello (Rick), Tracy Rintoul (Reade), Linda Smith (Ryan), and Sarah Travnicek (Martin), “pop pop” to 15.5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. HAHN: Jean Florence – of London passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 at University Hospital in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Bill Hahn. Loving mother of Alan (Sandi), and Bob (Margo). Much loved grandmother of Emma, Matt, Amanda (Mike) and Sara and great-grandmother of Chloe and Connor in Winnipeg. Also loved by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Ann Stevenson and her chosen sister Phyllis Mowat. Jean and Bill celebrated 70 years of marriage last October and were inseparable in their lives together. Jean was born in Toronto to Scottish parents and was always proud of her heritage. Jean and Bill travelled to Dunfermline, Scotland to visit family and were thrilled to be able to visit homes that her grandfather had built years before. Mom worked at the de Havilland Aircraft in Toronto before settling down to raise her family. She was generous of heart and of her talents. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Queensway General Hospital Toronto for years before Bill and Jean retired to Guelph. Mom was proud of us all and we were proud to call her Mom and grandma. Cremation has taken place. He will be missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Devoted companion of his late dog Ginger. Bill was a Chiropractor in London for 36 years. He was a proud member of the Board of Directors of the Grape Growers of Ontario. Cremation has taken place.
