Paul William Morgan
MORGAN, Paul….
Suddenly, as a result of a motor vehicle accident, on Friday, August 16, 2013, Paul William Morgan of London in his 39th year. Beloved son of Jane Morgan and the late Ken Morgan (2001). Much loved brother of Cheri Swart (Gee) and his niece Zoe, residing in South Africa. Cherished grandson of Shirley Morgan. Predeceased by his grandparents Bud Morgan and Bill and Peggy Pollard. Sadly missed by aunts, uncles and cousins. Paul loved his work, his many friends and his sports. His clever wit, fun-loving nature, gentleness and kindness impacted those who knew him. His family would like to thank everyone for the support given during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 7-9pm, at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 2:30pm at Compass Community Church (formerly Glen Cairn Baptist Church), 345 Pond Mills Road, London. (Van Der Pijil) Geddes (2009). Cherished father of Gregory C. Geddes of Baden. Predeceased by his son Gilbert L. Geddes (1999). Cherished Opie of Terri Geddes, Dawn Geddes (Keith), Chris Geddes (Renee), Jeff Geddes (Natalie), Mark Geddes (Kelly). Also loved by his 8 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dexter Geddes, Charles Geddes (Liala), Georgina Hingley, Greta Dillman (Charlie), Hilda Higney and Gwendolyn Geddes. Predeceased by his siblings Bernard Geddes (Shirley) and Marjorie Loughead (the late Wallace), Graham Geddes and Tedford Geddes (Helen). Passed away at University Hospital on August 15,2013 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Marion for 66 years and dear father of David (Nancy) and Stephen (Sharon). Predeceased by daughter Janice (John) Harris and sisters Violet, Dora and Helen and brother Ern. Loving grandfather to Matthew, Nicole, Brandon Fahner, Jenna (Tyler) Morrison, Peter (Alison) Harris, Tara (Greg) Wilson and 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Internment will take place at a later date at Elmdale Cemetery in St Thomas. A memorial service will be conducted at Byron United Church on Saturday Sept 14 at 11:30am with visitation preceding from 9:30am to 11am. Reverend Owen Underwood
UNDERWOOD: Reverend Owen….
Peacefully and surrounded by his family, Owen Underwood passed away at home on August 14, 2013, at 83 years of age. Beloved husband and best friend of Reta, married for 62 years. Dearly loved by his children Beverly of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Judy (Neal) of Mississauga, Ontario, Phil (Michelle) of Lansing, Michigan and Carolyn of London, Ontario. He will be missed by his adoring grandchildren Kevin (Flora), Stephen (Michelle), Derek (Daniela), Otis (Jean), Christopher, Kelly, Jeremy (Alexis), Crystal (Rashad), Jordan and his five great grand-children. Owen is also survived by his four siblings, Vivian, Louis, Lorena and Phyllis. Also loved by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Theodore and precious granddaughter Shelley. Owen was born in Windsor Nova Scotia to the late Owen and Lorena Underwood. He attended Bible College on the east coast and was ordained in 1952. Owen spent his life as a Minister in the Church of the Nazarene, pastoring in O’Leary Prince Edward Island, Sydney, Dartmouth and Amherst Nova Scotia, Sault Ste Marie Ontario, Holt Michigan and most recently London, Ontario where he retired in 1996 following 46 years of ministry. Owen will be especially remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed winters in Florida with his life-long love, Reta. Owen was known for his humility and integrity. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Owen was a shining example to his family and he surrounded our lives with love. His guiding hand on our shoulder will remain with us forever. The family would like to thank Owen’s loving caregivers that tended to his needs particularly over the last year. His dedicated personal support workers Kandie, Darlene and Jackie from the Victoria Order of Nurses, our heroes, we could not have done this without you and we appreciate you more than words can say! Sheena Jacobs, Nurse Practitioner from CCAC coordinated Owen’s care with such grace and understanding. Owen’s primary nurse Becky and others from St. Elizabeth Health Care who thoughtfully watched over Owen with true kindness and compassion. His faithful family doctor, Dr. E. Armogan. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed and we express our sincere thanks for helping us care for Owen comfortably at home. Kathleen Mary (nee McKenzie) Stewart, in her 94th year, passed away peacefully at University Hospital London on Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Harold Stewart. Dear mother of Kevin (Leslie) Stewart and Dianne Israels. Proud grandmother of Michael (Sarah) Israels, Marty (Natasja) Israels, Neill Stewart (Blair) and Colin Stewart (Sohni). Loving great grandmother of Abby, Harrison, Patrick, Liam, Evan, Brogan and Archer. Predeceased by her brother Donald “Don” McKenzie. The family is grateful to the many people who supported Kathleen in her later years, particularly those at Longworth Retirement Residence, St Joseph’s Heath Care and the nurses, support staff and physicians on the 7th floor at University Hospital. Mary had a long distinguished career as chief operator of Bell Canada serving London, Guelph, Sudbury and Toronto.
