It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Irene (Post) Plant, in her 92nd year, at University Hospital, London, On Friday, October 4th, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Arthur C. Plant (1979). Loving mother of Carolyn Plant, James Plant (Judy) and Douglas Plant (Sandy). Cherished grandmother David Munden, Wendy Litke, James Plant, Brad Plant and Kristian Plant . Proud great-grandmother of Cassandra, Billie-Jean and James-Thomas. Survived by her sister-in-law Laura Cruikshank of St. Mary’s. Predeceased by her sisters Ethel Mawson and Dorothy Klambauer. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 and one hour prior (12-1pm) to the service on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 1pm at the A . Peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at University Hospital, London, on Thursday, October 3, 2013, Janet Humphries (nee Pringle) in her 61st year. Beloved wife of Terrance Humphries (“TH”). Loving mother of Terra Humphries-Abey (Kevin) and Jessica Humphries (Mike Mejia). Cherished “Noonie” of Caleb. Also survived by her brothers-in-law, Fred Humphries (Jackie) and Jim Topham, her sisters-in-law, Carol Lewis (Ernie) and Kathy Dako (Charlie). Pre-deceased by her parents Howard and Jeanne Pringle and sister-in-law, Gail Topham. Janet will be greatly missed by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place. Loving father of Roy Stokes (Diane) of Cowes, I.O.W., England, Margaret Norman (Rob) of Dorchester, Eric Stokes (Teresa) of Leicester, England, and Linda Fitches of London. Dear brother of Mrs. Edna Aplin of Amesbury, England. Also loved by his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren in Canada and England. Predeceased by his twin brother Bill (1943). Surrounded by family, friends and much love, Magda (Miniats) Riets lost her courageous battle with ALS at home in her 89th year on September 29, 2013. A great lady to her last breath – strong and generous, always putting others first and sharing the beauty and humour she saw in life. Beloved wife of the late Jekabs Riets (1996). Cherished Mother of Daina (John) Eby and Ingrid Riets (John Daly). Will be missed by her nephew and godson Paul Miniats, her nieces Rita and Anita and their families. Remembered with love and fondness by her dear friend Roberts Leitans and his family Jessica, Arthur and Lynda. Survived by her sisters-in-law Brigita and Sonya. Predeceased by her brothers Raimonds, Eduards, Olgerts and his wife Elma. Magda’s life was filled with love and passion for her family, friends, students, patients, Latvia and Latvian organizations in Canada, her cottage in Bayfield, gardening, animals, nature, opera and travel. Cremation has taken place. Private interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Passed away September 27, 2013, David Hodge of Ottawa, ON formerly of London, ON and Moncton, NB in his 35th year. Beloved son of Bruce and Anne-Marie (Stewart) Hodge of London. Loving brother of Valerie (Hodge) and Randy Thorsen and their daughter Emily of Innisfail, Alberta. Dear nephew of Angela (Hodge) Sampson of London, Brent and Zoe Hodge of Edmonton, Brian and Marcia Hodge of Winnipeg, and Paul Stewart of Montreal. Cherished cousin of Brandy and Christopher Sampson, Liam and Naomi Hodge, and Kurtis Hodge. Also missed by his friend Sandra Fitzpatrick of Moncton. David was born in London and attended Central High School where he was actively involved in football and rugby. David, better known as Dave to many, took great pride in his work with the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association as Executive Director and Information Technology Manager in Rockland, Ontario. His work combined two of his great loves, skydiving and computers. David’s smile, outgoing personality and willingness to help others will be missed by friends and co-workers. David enjoyed people, nature, the odd practical joke and travelling. Among his many adventures was as team manager of the Canadian skydiving team that went to the 2012 World Parachuting Championships in Dubai. A celebration of David’s life will be held in Moncton New Brunswick during the spring/summer of 2014. Surrounded by her loving family and friends at University Hospital, Saturday, September 21, 2013, Eileen McKnight in her 86th year. Beloved wife and best friend of the late Norman McKnight. Dear mother of David McKnight (Lillian), Leigh McKnight (Virginia), Brian McKnight (Gwen), Lynn Whitty (Larry). Loving grandmother of Lindsay (Alex), Harley, Zoe, Halley, Lauren and Claire. Dear friend and sister of Barbara Peebles. Predeceased by infant daughter Laurie McKnight (1972) and son Stephen McKnight (1986) and her brother Donald Stokoe (2013). Loved by several nieces and nephews and their families and many friends. After raising her family, she reentered the work force in the 1970’s. For over 20 years she enjoyed a successful career at Revenue Canada. A lifelong member of United Church of Canada, after her retirement, she volunteered much of her time to her church and to various London organizations. When not volunteering or caring for her family, she discovered the wonderful world of travel which provided her with many new experiences and memories. She was a loving and generous mother, grandmother, and devoted friend to many. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at the A. Beloved wife of the late Max Kordylewski (1982), and former close companion of the late Jacob Wiebe (1998). Survived by sister-in-law Louise Makies (France). Much loved by close care takers Janet Marentette and Peter Wiebe. Will be missed by several nieces and nephews (overseas).
