Peacefully at Chelsey Park Long Term Care, on Thursday, October 10, 2013, Edith M. (Schneider, Figuli) Dressler of London in her 87th year. Loved wife of late Jack W. Dressler and the late Joseph Figuli. Dear stepmother of Darlene Wagner, Dennis Dressler and his wife Iris, Lavera Archambeault and her husband Bob, Reverend Jack Dressler and his wife Eileen, Beverley Douglas and her husband Richard, and Betty Lou May and her husband Wayne. Predeceased by her sister and two brothers. Also loved by her step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Also missed by her nieces and nephews. Dearly missed by her long time friend Pam Armer and long time lawyer Michael Lamb. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the A. Suddenly while playing golf, his favorite sport, on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 Bill Cruden of London at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Linda Taylor-Cruden and the late Carol E. Cruden (1994). Loving father of David (Mary Lou) Cruden and Cathy (Steve) Hill. Dear stepfather of Todd (Laurie) Taylor and James (Kelly) Taylor. Proud grandfather of Corey, Alex, Trevor, Morgan and Casey. Special brother of Helen Anderson of Hamilton. Also survived by sister-in-law Ruth Cruden and brother-in-law Charles Coupal. Predeceased by his brother Joe Cruden and sister Barbara Coupal. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Bill was a honourary lifetime member of the Kinsmen, past president of Highland Country Club and a member of the Rotary Club. Previous owner and one of the founders of CBS Equipment LTD. He was a lover of golf, curling, fishing, boating, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Beloved husband of Elisabeth (Gruhs) Smith for 50 years. Loving father of Christiane Galley (Scott), Ron Smith (Jacquie Moonen) and Burc Karse. SINCLAIR, Ann Catherine (nee McHardy-Smith)…..

Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Tuesday October 8, 2013, Ann Sinclair in her 75th year. Loving mother of, and enormously missed by, A. Murray Sinclair and his wife Cara, Scott C. Sinclair and his wife Danelle, and A. Craig Sinclair and his wife Nydia – all of Vancouver, BC. Cherished grandmother of Ella, Austin, Malcolm, Aidan, Teagan and Camille Sinclair. Also remembered by her former husband Murray M. Sinclair. Predeceased by her brothers John and Allen McHardy-Smith. Ann loved the Canadian north; she spent many of her summers with family and friends at her cabin on Gilmor Island at Cedar Lake in Algonquin Park. Ann also loved canoeing and in the summer of 1982 journeyed over 1500 km down the Mackenzie River. Ann was fascinated by ancient religions and traveled extensively in the Middle East. A dog lover from birth, Ann will be missed by Robin her faithful bearded collie .Friends will be received by the family on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 7-9 pm at the A. Surrounded by family, friends and much love, Magda (Miniats) Riets lost her courageous battle with ALS at home in her 89th year on September 29, 2013. A great lady to her last breath – strong and generous, always putting others first and sharing the beauty and humour she saw in life. Beloved wife of the late Jekabs Riets (1996). Cherished Mother of Daina (John) Eby and Ingrid Riets (John Daly). Will be missed by her nephew and godson Paul Miniats, her nieces Rita and Anita and their families. Remembered with love and fondness by her dear friend Roberts Leitans and his family Jessica, Arthur and Lynda. Survived by her sisters-in-law Brigita and Sonya. Predeceased by her brothers Raimonds, Eduards, Olgerts and his wife Elma. Magda’s life was filled with love and passion for her family, friends, students, patients, Latvia and Latvian organizations in Canada, her cottage in Bayfield, gardening, animals, nature, opera and travel.
