  • Doris Coulson

    COULSON, Doris….

    At Westmount Gardens on May 28, 2017, Doris Powell (Hayes) Coulson in her 94th year. Dear mother of son Tom Coulson (Shirley Dashper) and daughter Sandra Coulson. Predeceased by her beloved husband Walter (1997); her brothers, sister and their spouses Fred (Helen), Mil (Ed) and Ken (Mary). Doris was also close to her in-laws on Walter’s side of the family and was cherished by nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Doris was born in Windsor (Sandwich), Ont. After serving in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps, she settled in 1946 in London, where she met Walter. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and sometimes it takes just as many to care for someone at the other end of life. The family extends their thanks to the staff, volunteers, and residents of Westmount Gardens Long-Term Care Home; Reverend Canon T. Keith Nethery and members of St. Stephen’s Memorial Anglican Church, especially pastoral visitor John Biro; private PSW Janet Patrois; Mike Dawson of At Your Service for Seniors; Dr. Julie Clarke; Dr. Mary Jenkins and staff of the Movement Disorders Clinic at University Hospital; and the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario. Visitation will be held at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 7-9 pm as well as an hour prior to the funeral service taking place on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11 am.     Peacefully with family by her side on May 26, 2017 at the age of 58. Predeceased by her loving husband Bob (2010). Treasured mother of Sabrina (Adam) Poirier, Alex Tanton and Victoria Tanton. Adored grandmother of Mila and Katherine. Predeceased by her parents Rhoden and Stephanie Goodrich. Cherished sister of Grant Goodrich and Nancy (Peter) Sheppard. Carol will also be missed by many other family and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm at the A.     Peacefully at Parkwood Institute on May 24, 2017, Mr. Jack Martin in his 94th year. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Ashlar Lodge No. 610 A.F. & A.M. will be conducted at A.   • Duri “George” Dobransky

    DOBRANSKY, Duri (George) … Juraj “Duri” (George) Dobransky, 60, of London ON, passed away on May 15, 2017, at University Hospital, London with his beloved family at his side. Husband of Joyce for 26 years, father of Dustin, Loren and Digby. He is survived by his father Tomas Dobransky of Slovakia and his brother Tomas Dobransky and his wife Simona of London. Predeceased by his mother Zuzana Dobranska. Duri (George) was born in 1957 in Presov, Czechoslovakia, graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice, in 1982. He escaped the communistic Czechoslovakia in 1987, and immigrated to London in 1989. He married Joyce Dekker in 1990, one year after meeting her as his English teacher. Duri (George) was an avid skier, hiker, adventurer, world traveler and reader. He was known for his tremendous generosity, caring heart, brilliant mind, story-telling talent and his deep love for his family, friends, and nature. He was loved by many relatives and friends around the world. Friends will be received for visiting on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Talbot Street Church, 513 Talbot Street, London, ON. Dear grandson of Barbara and Peter Small. Proud uncle of Keira, Madison, Jacob, Cash, and Olivia. Cory was kind, caring and had a heart of gold, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Dear grammie to Carleigh Johnston (Thomas) and Kyle Johns (Alanna), Keith and Ben Garrett, great-grammie to Rae Leobach and Mason Johns. Devoted “special” aunt to Margaret and Kathy McGregor, Janice Ogilvie and Judy Garrett (Hugh). Predeceased by her siblings Keith McGregor and Margaret Vellet.
