Michael “Mike” Perry
PERRY, Mike….
Passed away suddenly but peacefully after a lengthy struggle with health issues, Michael Perry in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Brenda Perry. Loving father of Patrick, Erin (Brad) and Deanna (Jacob). Dear brother of Greg (Lorraine) and Louise (Brian). Will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Lastly, he will be missed greatly by his furry companion, Shelby. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 3-5 and 7-9 pm on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, 1344 Commissioners Road West, London. Interment in St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery. Peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, Aileen Norris passed away at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Reg Norris (1999). Loving mother of Virginnia Hawkes (Paul) of London, Linda McLarty (Archie) of Brantford and Judy Kojlak (Jerry) of London. Also, loved by her grandchildren Paul Hawkes Jr. (Charmaine), Stephen Hawkes (Janice), Jeremy Kojlak (Andrea), Jenna Ketcheson (Scott), Tom McLarty (Michelle) and her 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Marie Boyle, Louise Butler and Verlyn Bray. Also, survived by several nieces and nephews. Aileen was a long-standing member of the Anglican Parish of Holy Trinity and St. Stephens Memorial Church. Friends are welcomed to celebrate Aileen’s life on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home – Reception Centre, 60 Ridout Street South, London from 2-4 in the afternoon. Frances Callas
CALLAS, Frances….
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Victoria Hospital, London, Frances Callas in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Stephen Callas (2001). Dear mother of Stephanie (Dan Johnson), Dave (Sylvie Pageau-Callas) and Phillip (Andrea Torre). Also loved by her grandchildren Andrea, Stephen and Julian. Predeceased by her sister Isobel Sloan and her brother Stuart Webster. Frances was a proud graduate of Kingston General Hospital and was an R.N. for over 40 years including 18 years as head nurse at Chelsey Park. Frances was born on a farm in Leeds and Grenville and raised in the great depression. After graduating KGH in 1951, she moved to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan where she and Stephen married. They later moved to Windsor where they raised their family and then followed jobs to London. Many thanks to the Palliative Care team at Victoria Hospital, especially Nurse Shannon, for their devoted care for mom. A special thank you to Reverend Canon Dr. Kevin George and Mark Jones. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 pm on Monday, April 17, 2017 at the A. Willnah Bennett
BENNETT, Willnah….
At Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, London, Ontario on Friday, April 14, 2017, Miss Willnah Bennett in her 94th year. Dear daughter of the late William and Hannah Bennett. Dear sister-in-law of Doreen Bennett of England and dear aunt of Paul Bennett (Sandra Jones), and his son Simon Bennett (Juliet) and their son Thomas all of England. Predeceased by her brother John Bennett and by Simon’s mother Janice Bennett. Willnah immigrated to Canada 46 years ago. She proudly attended the church where her parents had been married, Wesley-Knox United Church. Willnah was an actress and supporter of the London Community Players. She proudly served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) during WWII. Willnah will be missed by her many friends and a multitude of cousins. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received one hour prior (1-2pm) to the memorial service being held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 2pm, at Wesley-Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London. Interment of cremated remains in Martock, England. Peacefully surrounded by family, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Joan Stepan passed on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Victoria Hospital, London, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Stepan (1968). Loving mother of Ernest Stepan (Sandra), Joe Stepan and Arlyn Martin (Vinny). Awesome grandmother of Sarah, James, Alicia (Nick), Steven (Niki) and great-grandmother of Alex, Gabriella, Brady and Aidan. Sister of Beverly (Doug), Douglas and Vera (Ron). Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. A special thanks to the Oncologists from the London Regional Cancer Program and the staff in Palliative Care at Victoria Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care for mom. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 10 am in “The Chapel” at Windermere on the Mount, 1486 Richmond Street, London. McClean, Carol Ann (Seales)….
On April 10, 2017 at Mount Hope Hospital, Trinidad & Tobago, Carol Ann McClean (Seales) with family by her side went to be with her husband of 50 years, Mervyn Ignatius McClean who passed away on August 26, 2016. Carol was in Trinidad to fulfill her late husbands last wishes along with her children and grandchild. The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by all and will provide long lasting memories for all. Carol is the loving mother and a best friend to her children Michelle and Jeremie “Jay”. She is the cherished “Macca” to her grand-daughter TaliaRose, dear sister of MacDonald “Mackie”, Ronnie “Lamb”, Tony, Vera, Patrick, Anne-Marie, Nova and Jimmy. Carol is predeceased by her parents Winston Gregory Seales and Ira Joy Seales (Waterman), brother Jimmy and sister Elenor. She is an auntie, cousin, god-mother, sister-in-law to the respective spouses and last but not least is a dear friend and “sister” to Derrick, dear dear friend to Lucille, Florence, Phillo and Mr. & Mrs. J. Douglas Goodge (predeceased) After leaving Trinidad to join her fiancée in Canada, Carol worked at Dearness Home, London Hospital Linen Service and Shoppers Drug Mart all while being a supportive wife, mother and friend to all those that loved her laugh, gentle caring nature and of course her willingness to help those in need. Carol was raised in the Catholic tradition early in her childhood in Trinidad, this kindled her lifelong relationship with God. Shortly after immigrating to Canada she attended a revival in the city and rededicated her life along with her husband Mac to Jesus and found her peace in sharing a lifelong relationship with Christ as a Protestant. No matter the situations life threw at her, Carol stood firm on her faith and inspired friends and family to strengthen their faith as well. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Beverley Guide Williams – of J. E. Guide Funeral Home and A. Millard George Funeral Home. A special mention goes out to her niece Kursty-Ann “Leggy” Samuels who was by Carol’s side supporting her into the next phase of her life. Family and friends will be received at A. On Friday, April 7, 2017, Lavella passed away peacefully at Valleyview Home, St. Thomas in her 88th year. Loving mother of Anne Marie Burke (John Moore) and Len (Kathleen) Burke. Peacefully surrounded by her family at University Hospital, London, on Monday, April 3, 2017, Marjory (Kelly) Fraser in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late Ian Fraser (2012) for 60 years. Loving mother of Pam McCormick (Rhod) and David Fraser (Leslie). Cherished grandma of Andrew (Deja), Jessica, Natalie (Allison), Leanne (Mike) and great-grandmother of Nevaeh, Elijah and Anthony. Dear sister of Ronald Kelly and Delia Kelly. Dearly missed by her nephews. Predeceased by her grandson Derek (1981), her brother Norman Kelly (2005) and her sister-in-law Eileen Kelly (1993). The family would like to thank the staff on 10th floor SAMU/Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital for the outstanding care provided. Marjory had a rich career as a secretary working for O-Pee-Chee, RCMP, Brescia College, and National Parole Board of Canada. Kevin McKenna age 64 passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Kevin was born in 1953 in Paris, Ontario, to Mary and Henry McKenna. Kevin was a proud dad to Terry and Stacey. Kevin was a kind person and always willing to help others. His love of horses played a big role in his life and he spent many years training them. He is survived by his brother Gerald and his wife Vicky, his sister Henrietta and husband Don, Florence his sister-in-law and Kelly, Stacey’s mother. He will also be remembered by his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his two brothers Brian and Paul. Special acknowledgment to his son Terry who was his caregiver and devoted support during his illness. Also, thanks to his friend Major Walter Howells who provided unconditional support and guidance during his illness. Friends will be received by the family on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 9-11 am at the A.
