He genuinely enjoyed sharing his knowledge of accounting and mentored and encouraged many students who held him in high regard. A natural athlete, Geoff enjoyed downhill skiing with his family, and loved playing tennis, basketball and golf. Baseball was a lifetime favourite since he played it as a young man as a minor league pitcher. He was also a history enthusiast and an entertaining storyteller, especially around the dinner table and on the beach at the family cottage on Trout Lake, North Bay. Geoff was a genuine friend to many. He was a patient listener, a kind, helpful, caring man who was always full of love and respect for those he had the privilege to know. We will miss his witty sense of humour. Most importantly, Geoff cherished his family: his wife, children and grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to tell friends how proud he was of them.
