ANGOOD, James “Jim”
Peacefully, at Oakcrossing, London on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 James “Jim” Angood passed away in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the late Donna (Groat) Angood (2015). Father of Kerri-Lynn Edmondson (Mike) of Markham, Kathy-Jo Brine (Jamie) of Belmont and Jamie Angood (Sarah) of London. Proud Grandpa of TJ and Payton Brine, Ava and Liam Angood, Braedin and Britlynn Edmondson. Dear brother of Albert Angood (Annette) of Chatham and Linda Burrill (Glen) of Ingersoll. Brother-in-law of Lois Trimble (Ralph) of Ballantrae. Predeceased by his granddaughter Molly Edmondson (2009). Jim was a long-time employee with Revenue Canada, who spent his summers camping, gardening around the family home and had a great appreciation for music. Friends are welcomed for visiting on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 from 6-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London as well as one hour prior (12-1pm) to the funeral service being conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 1 pm. DOUGAN, Shirley (nee Campbell)….

Peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 9, 2019 at McCormick Home, London in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Ken B. Dougan (2007). Loving mother of Stephen Dougan, Gary Dougan (Kelly), Deanna Dougan (Sue Lawrence) and the late Darryl Dougan and step-mother of Stephanie Dominie (Earl). Devoted grandmother of Trevor and Eric Dougan. Cherished sister of Iris Papadopolous (Dennis), Doreen Huston (Kenny) and Lawrence Campbell (the late Marjorie). Dear daughter of the late Garnet E. and Oral H. Campbell. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Suddenly with family by her side, on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at University Hospital, London, Marilyn passed away in her 81st year. Loving mother of Peg (Jeff) Lockridge, Rob (Tracy) Fleet, Jay (Terri) Fleet, Jeff (Denise) Fleet, and Lehana (Marroon) Thabane. Adoring grandmother of Luke (Heather) Lockridge, Jess (Adam) Hodgins, Courtenay (Patricia) Fleet, Josh (Samantha) Fleet, Scott (Leah) Fleet, Liam Fleet, Jamie (Shawn) Gilbert, Andrew (Lorena Torres Loaiza) Fleet, Jade (Josh Baumann) Baines, Kayla Baines, Rachel Fleet, Robin (Jason Langford) Fleet and great Grandmother of 12. Dear sister of Carole (John) James-Airey and Collin (Sandy) James. Predeceased by her parents Lyle and Gladys James and her younger brother Buddy. Marilyn will be missed by many extended family and friends. Marilyn was a long-time member of the Highland Curling Club, an employee of the University of Western Ontario for 23 years, she enjoyed her time playing bridge, but above all, she cherished her time with her family. Peacefully in his sleep, on Friday, December 6, 2019, William “Dennis” Grant passed away in his 74th year. He is survived by his children Terry (Christina), Jamie (Jody) and Shanna (Mara), his grandchildren Tyler, Ilia, Jacob and Amber Lei, his great-grandchildren Chase, Jake and Owen and his friend Carol. Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2 pm at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London (please meet at the cemetery office). NEWTON-DeBLOCK, Mabel “Mae”….

Peacefully with her family by her side at Victoria Hospital, London on Friday, December 6, 2019, Mabel Newton-DeBlock passed away in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank DeBlock (1996) and the late Ronald Joyes Newton (1980). Loving mother of Alf James Newton (Lana) and the late Ronald William Newton (2003) and mother-in-law of Heather Newton. Cherished grandmother of Michael Newton, Lori Sokalski (Mark), Carrie Bonelli (John), Melissa Duda (Rob), Joey Newton and Bobby Newton (Sandra) and great-grandmother of Taylor, Natalie, Cassie, Brianna, Ava, William, Walter, Rylee and Elizabeth. Predeceased by her sisters Ethel Pringle and Elsie Bailey. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and extended family. Mabel was an avid sports fan. She was the #1 London Knights supporter, loved her Blue Jays and Maple Leafs and was very active in her grandchildren’s lives, watching them play their countless sports. A social and active woman, she was very competitive when it came to her card games, especially Euchre which she would play multiple times a week. After a long and courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, with dignity and grace, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospice in the arms of his loving wife Rosealine (nee Zammit) of 45 years, son Richard (Brianna) and daughter Marie Mutton (Neville). Grandpa to Olivia Rose and Gabrielle Faith and Papa of Anthony Patrick Mutton. Predeceased by his parents Mabel and George Lutman, siblings Murial, Mary, Bill, Ruth, Ted and Connie. Survived by his brother Gerry. The Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Parish, 377 Oakland Avenue, London at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. Beloved husband of his devoted wife Muriel, Doug passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 29th, 2019, in his 74th year. Supporting and loving father of Kim (Scott), Michael and David (Leigh), proud Grandpa to Kennedy, Hayden, Cooper, Brooklyn, Ashley and Alex, and dear brother to Susan, Bob (Donelda), Kathy (Neal) and Jim (Judy). Predeceased by father Ray, mother Marilyn, stepfathers Bill and Stan, older brother Ron and infant brother Max. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. If you knew him, you loved him. Doug’s life was his family and we all had so many good times together we will cherish forever. We are all so proud of the life he lived and his stubbornness and sense of humour was with him to the very end. Visitation will be held at the A. Peacefully with his daughter holding his hand on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Meadow Park Nursing Home, London, David Carruthers passed away in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Mildred Carruthers (2006). Loving and supportive dad of Elizabeth & Glenn Parsons, Bruce & Margaret Carruthers and David & Carol Carruthers. Proud and devoted Grumpa of Jennifer & Steven and grandfather of Emily, Greg, Andrea and Lauren. Dear brother of Cathy & Ken McHarg, Bill (deceased) & Marlene Carruthers, Bobby & Pat Riendeau, Jack (deceased) & Muriel Carruthers and Rita Riendeau Hlibchuck (deceased). Favourite Uncle to Kevin & Sue McHarg and cousins Helen & Brian Riley. Missed by his companion Christine Handfield, his buddies Stan & Mark and his sidekick and therapy dog “Murray”.

Dad was a Veteran and served his country in the Navy. He was an entrepreneur who supported his family through his many businesses and ideas. Spontaneous at heart, dad was larger than life, was a big tease and never stopped supporting his children and grandchildren, whatever their passion was.
