Sandra L. N. Black-Evans died in peace on August 28, 2026, in London, ON. Sandra was born on July 5, 1952, in Montreal. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Gordon Black. She attended St. Helen’s School (1965-1969).

Sandra had a successful career as a licensed life insurance agent on Salt Spring Island (BC) and in the Bahamas. She was a founding member of Kirk of the Pines Presbyterian Church (Abaco) and District Commissioner for Scouts (Abaco). Sandra was the owner and broker of Abaco Waterfront Properties, board member of the Bahamas Real Estate Association, and represented the Bahamas on many international real estate forums. Sandra was also a licensed paralegal and member of the Law Society of Ontario.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Robin, Keith (Eva), and Jason (Shirin), brother Gordon (Jennifer), eight nieces and nephews, and many friends. Sandra was predeceased by her parents, sisters Perelandra and Andra-Lee, son Perrin, stepfather Ivor Paterson, and her beloved husband Bill.

A private cremation and interment will take place. If wished, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House in Sandra’s honour.

    I am deeply sorry for your loss. Sandra touched so many lives, she will be missed here in Canada and by her many friends in the Bahamas. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

    We have just heard and are shocked and saddened to hear of Sandra’s passing on August 28th. Not only did she sit on the Board of Woodfield Community Association with me, but Audrey and I considered her a friend. We last met for a coffee with Sandra in June and understood her health issues had improved. We were planning to get together again once we returned from vacation the end of August.
    We are so sorry for your loss and may the love and support of Family, Friends and Neighbours provide comfort to you at this time.
