Donna and I have had the great pleasure of knowing Rob for 40 years. 1st as an employee at the building supply yard on Harrington Rd. and then as a colleague in the industry. We collaborated on many projects together.
Rob always was enthusiastic and quick to laugh at himself. We enjoyed many times sharing stories (and wine).
The one constant was his love of you all and his deep connection to all things Nova Scotian. You could take the boy out of the valley but never valley from the boy.
Much ❤️ to you all.
Brian and Donna Hermiston

I am so sorry to hear of Robert’s passing…we have great memories of CKRHS. RIP, Robert, too young, too soon.
Sending condolences to you and your family.
Robert was a valued partner and supporter of our Fenestra organization over the years, known for his professionalism, warmth, and genuine kindness. He worked closely with many of us and played an important role in strengthening the collaboration between our teams.
I can’t believe he is gone but not forgotten ,he will live on in all of our memories. He humour his quick wit, and his love for everyone he met. Claire and Haley he will be watching over for the years to come, Wendy he loved you incredibly. He was a prankster to my mom always playing tricks on her.
Our deepest condolences to Robert’s family. It was a privilege to work with him for many years through Fenestra and LBMX. Robert’s kindness and sincerity left a lasting impression on all of us. He will be deeply missed.
Sincerely,
KC, Jessica, and the KCI Management Team

I want to send my deepest condolences to you all. Many of us at St. Anne’s were quite shocked when we heard the news this morning. We have been praying for him in church and I have been keeping him in my prayers since knowing that he was not well. We will miss seeing and working with Robert at the community dinners. Robert and I had some good chats when using the bread slicing machine. Robert was the one who convinced me to take on the warden’s role once again when he left the position and I had always reminded him of that fact. I will truly miss connecting with him. You all remain in my prayers.
I’m so sorry for your loss Wendy and for the loss of your girls. Robert spoke so highly of you all.
I worked with Robert as a colleague in the early years of our careers and then he was a valued client contact at LBMX in recent years.
He was always quick with a joke or hint of sarcasm in fun – but ultimately the upmost professional, striving for excellence. He was kind and caring.
When I saw him at an LBMX event in Toronto in February, he asked with genuine interest about our team members that supported him on the events he ran for LBMX and was eager to connect to say hello in person despite his other business commitments that brought him to the city. Such a nice gesture.
I hope your memories can play even a small part in easing your pain during this difficult time.
Warmly,
Kimberley Clarke (KC)
