Raymond Douglas Chambers passed away peacefully July 25, 2026 at Parkwood Institute in London at the age of 94. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Emily Chambers and the late Marion Chambers. Dear father of Miles Chambers and his wife Yvonne, and Andrew Chambers and his partner Sheri Capson, all of London. Beloved grandfather of Aaron Chambers (Kate) and Ryan Chambers (Jenn). Dear Great-Grandfather of Lily and Thatcher. Cherished brother-in-law of Rose Chambers of Cambridge and his nephew and and nieces. Predeceased by his brother Wilbur Chambers (1997). Missed by his step-daughter Donna McConnell and her husband Bryan of Strathroy. Also survived by 6 step-grandchildren and many step great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many friends and staff at Royalcliffe retirement community.

Raymond dedicated his career to serving his community as a bus driver and later inspector with London Transit before retiring in 1997. Raymond enjoyed travelling with Marion and his children. In his spare time, Raymond found great joy in attending country music jams in Mesa, Arizona and dancing with Margaret at Lakeside.

Friends will be received by the family on Tuesday, August 4th, 2026 from 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m in the funeral home chapel.
